Daily Dev Activity – 23rd February 2015
Today, here at the 22cans Tower. Design and Programming are continuing ahead with the planning of the combat sprint, as well as fixing various in-game bugs.
Design
- Attended further combat meeting with production over Skype
- Feeling terribly ill today and worked from home
Programming (Pavle)
- Fixed bugs with facebook login
- Tasked and planned new military features
- Fixed more journal bugs
Programming (Richard)
- Fixed bug with the Astari continuing to send raids after they’ve been conquered
- Fixed bug with unemployed followers being created when an abode is replaced by a shrine
- Attended further combat planning meeting
- Investigated bug with erroneous zoom limits on PC after moving between worlds
Programming (Fabs)
- I feel like I’ve rewritten all the file handling code today, in the search for the real bug causing the loss of progress. I found some stuff that wasn’t working as expected but nothing that should cause the issue. It’s now over to the testers to help figure this one out
QA
- Triaged bugs entered by testers over the weekend
- Checked the completion of the Test Plan
- Reproduced a few bugs reported on the Steam forums over the weekend and entered them into the internal database
- Regressed issues fixed by the code team
- Helped out with the testing of Fab’s new save game unpacking code
- Smoke checked iOS and Android builds for testers
- Wrote direction email for testers to use overnight
QA & Community
- Refining the Making of Godus book proposal
- Having it proof read by people with experiences and making corrections and improvements based on their recommendations
- Continuing to hunt for a good quality printing company
Production
- Attended a community and PR meeting this morning discussing some of the things we’re doing going forward to help engage our community a bit more
- Turned off the valentines day content worldwide on iOS and Android
- Attended a sprint planning meeting for Combat this afternoon where we’ll task up and assign all the tasks to the programmers
Community
- Attended a lengthy Community and PR meeting this morning discussing some of the things we’re doing going forward to help engage our community a bit more
- Replied to some of our Steam community questions throughout the afternoon
- Shot Pavle in the head with a nerf gun
- Planning and plotting away
