Today, here at the 22cans Tower. Konrad is back in the studio working his way through a backlog of bugs, as well as teaming up with Jack brainstorming ideas for alternative methods of delivering the Story.
Design
- Worked through a backlog of assorted bugs
- Brainstorming session with Jack about alternative methods of delivering story
- Started work on new design for story delivery
- Sneezed in Andy’s direction to spread the lurgs
Programming (Pavle)
- Triage bug meeting
- Gem usage GUI bugs
- Unresponsive chests made better
- Fixed issue with iOS push notifications
Programming (Fabs)
- Today, I rewrote how we download the assets and load them into game because the file mounting code that comes with Marmalade seems to have a bug in it where after a short while, it stops letting you write back to the filesystem
Programming (Richard)
- Fixing a bug with comets not sinking and thus, their light effects persisting forever.
- Fixing a bug with happiness being shared between Homeworld and Weyworld (involved rewrites to the save/load system and lots of testing)
- Attending bug triage meeting
QA
- Triaged the bugs from testers overnight
- Archived files sent from testers
- Helped Fabs with testing Android bug
- Regressed PC fixes
- Entered bugs from Steam community into the database
- Smoke tested iOS and Android builds for external testers
- Smoke tested PC build for opt-in branch
- Wrote direction for testers
QA & Community
- Finding out that icecream is half price down the road
- Refining the Making Of Godus book proposal with relevant people
- Using any spare time on social media and trying to help people with game related issues
Production
- Had a meeting about the story delivery and possible changes to how the story is written with Jack and Konrad
- Had a long triage meeting to weed out bugs that the community care less about so that we can focus on the important ones
- Had a call with our contact at DeNA to discuss an issue with push notifications on mobile.
- Had about 3 lemsips. The lurg has spread
Community
- Continue the planning with the new customer support layout
- Attended a long triage meeting and deciding which bugs we’ll work on and which ones we won’t
- Looking over Twitter and Facebook seeing if any new issues are getting reported.”
