Today, here at the 22cans Tower, Konrad & Jamie redefine the combat fundamentals design, Fabs fixes the coffee machine and Martin triaged some bugs.
Design- Konrad
- Worked on combat scenario 1st tutorial level
- Faffed around with a lot of text stuff and tried to convince Andy getting Korean translations into the pc version is not nearly as simple as he thinks it is.
- Dictated last minute design changes to the journal screen to Richard like an overlord issuing commands to his minions…sometimes design has it’s perks.
- Design meeting with Jamie to refine combat fundamentals design.
- Redoing the combat fundamental design doc to reflect refined design.
Programming - Fabs
- Fixing performance issues on Android.
- Added procedural landscape generator brush to the editor.
- Fixed the coffee machine.
- Investigating the wheat and ore unlocks for cards being overzealous in Weyworld.
Programming - Richard
- Did more work on improving the story presentation, as requested by Design.
QA - Martin
- Triaged bugs from testers overnight.
- Archived documents from testers.
- Looked into some issues reported from Steam users.
- Regressed a few PC related fixes.
- Rewrote TestFairy Command Line Upload Script to work on PC.
- Automated Upload process using Batch files.
- Smoke tested iOS and Android builds for overnight testers.
- Create direction email for overnight testers.
QA & Community - Conor
- Got in touch with James Leach about the Making-of Book and printing companies.
- Continued research into the places offering a printing service and obtaining quotes.
- Looking into having examples printed.
- Refining proposal.
Production - Andy
- Helped draft up an email to the backers for the Kickstarter Making of/Art book.
- Did some planning for getting our player mods down to the studio for a visit.
- Pushing through some changes for our Publisher and closing off bugs for a possible mobile release soon.
- Further planning for the Combat sprints.
- Looked at adding Korean localisation to the PC version.
- Did some fixes on the build machine to make it a bit more stable.”
Community - Dave
- Gathering Ticket stats form Zendesk and sending them over to Michelle.
- Planning and plotting schemes for our player mods trip to the studio.
- Attended a meeting with our web developer, making sure they have all the correct access to create the new Customer Support Portal.
- Sharing the late night Dev Blog.
