Just wondering as I'm considering trying player pro with an older os. I use DOSBox and SCUMM, and use to have an ISO loader program to play my old cd/dvd games. I tried a few programs, but was unable to get any Virtual desktop machine software to install or run properly; and after a time I gave up trying as the setup was more fuss than I wanted to deal with.

I have used dosbox in the past. Maybe I'll try that before I go the VMware route. Thanks for reminding me.

I am currently using dosbox to play A-Train. Runs like a train. In the past I have succesfully used Virtual PC to play an old game. It's not difficult to use. Basically you asign a certain amount of storage space on your harddrive to it and on that you can install an operating system of your choice. You can have as many virtual pc's on your computer as you want, each with their own OS. It may still be tricky to get a game to run properly though. I have never used vmware but I suspect it is similar to what I described.
