Today, here at the 22cans Tower. The 22canners return to work form their short easter holiday and go back into work mode. Richard, dedicated as ever continues to work on the development of combat and has implemented two different types of war bands for design to choice from. Andy looked at the memory issues on mobile devices going forward and Dave continued his work on the new support portal and continuing to add new FAQ’s.
Richard - Programming
- Implemented two different types of warband regeneration, so Design can decide which is preferred. - Started enabling warbands to attack enemy followers. - Tidied a lot of our warband code, so it’s easier to work with. - Worked on some improvements to multiple group selection and movement arrows.
Andy - Production
- Looking at memory issues on mobile devices going forward - Considering turning off Easter on PC, even though everyone loves it so much - Tidying up a proposal for some fun stuff
Martin - QA
- Investigation into why TestFlight build of Godus isn’t working - Attempted code fix - Failed code fix (but didn’t break the build, so that’s got to count for something) - Smoke tested Android and iOS builds for overnight testers - Wrote direction email for overnight testers
Dave - Community
- Logged last weeks social media stats - Continuing to work on the new Support Portal - Getting the Support Portal images ready - Loitering around our social media channels and forums
Conor - QA & Community
- Compiling images for Sara and the ‘Art Book’ - Spending my spare time helping out on the social media channels

I like: Cats; single malt Scotch; Stargate; Amiga; fried potatoes; retro gaming; cheese; snickers; sticky tape.
I don't like: Dimples in the bottom of scotch bottles; Facebook games masquerading as godgames.
Steam: stonelesscutter
GOG: stonelesscutter

Thanks for the updates I suggested over on Steam that if they are going to continue on making themes then it would be a good idea to make them completely optional and able to be toggled by the user without any mucking about with the system clock like Terraria. Space Pirates and Zombies has this done nicely for an example, you're just giving the user an option on what art assets to load, and to avoid "ew, hate this, not gonna play!" reactions it would be a good idea to tackle this little matter before adding in more themes (along with revisiting upon old ones). It really does matter if there is anything more to those themes than just mere cosmetics. Cosmetics should be selectable, but seasonal mechanics are what should be toggled on/off by the game itself. For 22cans to claim that they're still fully developing upon the game I'm giving them plenty of opportunity to prove that it's not going to be Spacebased.

Wasn't the previous theme click to enable on PC? My recollection is the valentine theme was left active enough for multiple click to enables on PC/pay and groan on mobile.

What about FuriousMoo? Is he still on easter holiday? Yup, gone on holiday for the next couple of weeks. He's given the programming team enough work to last until he returns.
