Was anyone else following the Kickstarter for the game Dimension Drive? What happened to them - a fraudulent high tier pledge was pulled with less than 30 minutes to go, dropping them below the Success mark - was totally unfair and horrible. www.mcvuk.com/news/read/troll-breaks-developer-s-heart-on-kickstarter/0149511

"At some point we got a pledge of 7000 euros, the exact amount needed to reach our goal. As you can imagine we partied, shouted in social media, congrats were in order.
All that disappeared 30 minutes (more or less) before the end of the campaign. The Kickstarter guys sent us an email informing us that the pledge was fraudulent and that they had to remove it. Meaning that we were not funded anymore. Apparently, the user that pledged was a troll that wanted to play a really bad joke on us ( and some other Kickstarter projects )."

Yeah, apparently they weren't the only victims. No idea why anyone would do that, but the world is full of crazy people. It's also not clear how it was determined that the pledge was "fraudulent" by Kickstarter so quickly, or what exactly that means.

Ah, that would explain it. What a plan; Steal a CC and donate to a bunch of Crowdfunders. Some people have no respect. I hadn't checked to see what each project was, but I have a feeling they're all gaming related.

After a very long and trying week, thanks to some very encouraging words from fans and peers, it looks like they have decided to relaunch the campaign on Monday. Dimension Drive doesn't back out !

Hey, at least they didn't ask themselves, "What would Molydeux?" while having the decency to refrain from lying out of their arse to try to make their goal. tough break though..

Griffork: Sorry for being away for so long. The job I had at the beginning of the year seems to be having a full-blown melt-down (and I got caught in it). I'm now at a new place but the new job has been a very hectic learning experience (yay for being on R&D!)
