I should load it up and take away one star for each Kickstarter promise they have yet to fulfill. Seeing how the mobile version is complete and all...

> Use your touch to physically shape, mold and sculpt every inch of the landscape, making it unique to you.
The one-trick pony says...moo? Well, sort of. No wonder it's not a cash cow.
> · Be loved and worshipped by tiny, devoted Followers. Watch them live, learn, and grow in a fully simulated world.
The claims of this line need a shovel, hip waders, and possibly a tethering line. Godus simulates nothing but a poor microtransaction model.
Click a bunch for five minutes more play time in the virtual sandbox of cake layers. Or pay to have a bit more time.
> · Nurture the growth of a civilization as it rises from the dawn of the primitive age and advances throughout the ages of humanity.
Which ages? The one where we're completely fucking helpless unless we have a giant hand in the sky telling us how to do every little thing else we'll starve to death? Or the other one where we're completely fucking helpless unless we have a giant hand in the sky telling us how to do every little thing else we'll starve to death?
I feel better about humanity already!
What really divides these eras of humanity, and exactly what are our followers learning?
As such, I find putting the current team upon that as their initial task to not just be extremely curious, but potentially abusive, when it turns out that they have been expected to shoulder the work of much more seasoned developers, work that much more seasoned developers would find daunting. There are many issues that form the subscription around Godus' problems, and quite honestly it's looking like 22cans has been looking for scapegoats by having the inexperienced be expected to make this game anywhere like it was billed by working upon COMBAT...and then no plans after that. That is what we're expected to believe.
Then look at what happened to Fabs.
But hey - COMBAT!
> · Cast miracles of both beauty and destruction: sculpt rivers and grow forests, or throw meteors and spread fires.
The one-trick pony is starting to look a little better, though a little worn after a bit of it being the only redeemable feature. Similarly to Miner Wars 2081, the issues that plague the game are not redeemed by that one single feature.
> · Uncover a wealth of mysteries and surprises waiting to be found above and below the landscape.
Awww, you forgot to water the one-trick pony. Now interest has died off after all of the paywalls resulting in a content wall that doesn't match the store description of where Godus is sold and distributed.
I sense a trend.
