On the contrary... you could do a great deal of good for Godus and 22cans if you responded to the author with some honest points. Make a show of just how dedicated to turning things around you really are. Just... please, do us all a favor and don't burn yourself like Peter did with hype and hope that has little chance of panning out. |

Just to be clear it's not the engagement that kills you it's the lack of an open plan. I don't want you to think coming here and trying to openly communicate lead to this, it has been building for months. I had no knowledge of the article and haven't contacted them although I know other forum members have been in contact with the gaming press re the mass bans that have been dealt out to supress dissent. It's very easy for 22cans to take the wrong lessons from negative press and turtle, let's not repeat that mistake again least we sow the seeds of the next press debacle. |

The media doesn't operate on "Soonus" time. 48 hours doesn't sound reasonable to prepare a detailed response, especially when you're new to the role, but next time you see an email from a popular media outlet, consider the risk of not responding ASAP. |

Everyone here has been waiting FOUR MONTHS for an update from Godus, during which time 22Cans has actually reduced communications rather than done anything to improve it. So honestly it is difficult to sympathise...

Simon, I honestly feel bad you were caught unawares by the speed of which this article was produced, but I have hope that you will turn this into a positive.
While the blog post is repetitive in nature... I think that your understanding of the community's response to articles like this is essential for your success where PR is involved.
That said... don't for a minute think that I imagine you as having nothing to do... turning 22cans around seems nothing less than a monumental task.
One that I think the more hopeful types really do wish you to succeed at.
