I have got so far in 2.0.5 and finding the wait times quite difficult. For example my next land expansion is 2 days 9 hours away from completion. This seems to be game time rather than a virtual time - wondered if it were possible to buy a speed up lollypop or something so that I can get to the next bit. It would also be great if there were a shop where we could buy stickers and stuff to help speed the game up a bit. Anyone know if a shop is planned or are we just going to have to wait?

This version, I think, is the worst for timing so far. The requirement for stickers is stupidly difficult even when you abuse voyages. I have about 5 or 6 mines and I am still -2 ore (no idea how that happened). I can no longer build anything and still have almost 2 days to wait for the next land expansion. Collecting belief is a pain as it always has been and I still have no empathy with my little guys.
This version crashes very regularly, more than 2.0.4 but not yet terminally.

I'm not sure. Everything was covered in stickers, I couldn't quite make it out.

It worked in V2.0.4, haven't bothered to check in the latest version.

They make a game that is fully dependent on their server but the programming apparently checks the local time instead of the server time.

Well they don't actually have the jupiter server set up yet, so it's got to check a clock from somewhere at the moment. I'd make the assumption that clock checking from the jupiter server is currently in the code but commented out, and instead it just does a quick system time check. Or at least that is how i'd do it if I were coding Godus, you'd have to have put literally 0 thought into the time system otherwise, and while I'm not very confident in 22cans at the moment, i'm still confident enough that they must have put at least some thought into the matter.

...they must have put at least some thought into the matter. Hmm. Really? Well, much as the game mechanics are pretty dire right now, the actual coding of the game itself doesn't seem *too* bad. There are crashes and the like, but stuff tends to work as intended. This kind of thing is basically a straightforward decision - "we have a big jupiter server everything is going to run from and all the worlds are going to exist on, how should be do the clock?" - the obvious answer is you take the server clock (especially as you only need to check as you log into the game). My assumption about how this should work is as follows: 1) Player logs in with internet connection 2) Server gives update on time past since last log-off. 3) Players PC updates everything accordingly and informs server of the updates. alternatively: 1) Player logs in without internet connection 2) Players PC time is used for time passed. 3) When/if player reconnects to the server, server compares internal time passed vs players PC time passed. If they aren't equal, do something about it (anti-cheat mechanism).

I was under the impression that the simulation was continuously running on the server already even though we're not hooked up to eachother yet. Perhaps the 22Cans community guys could shed some light onto this.
