This week we’re very happy to announce that the team has been making some good progress in regards to the combat gameplay! As you may already know, we’ve recently spent some time tuning and fixing the Warbands pathfinding. We have now reached a very good result that we want to playtest before continuing working on this. That’s why recently we moved onto a new exciting feature: Combat God Powers. In combat, God Powers will help you change the course of the battle. You will be able to set your enemies on fire, slow them down or give your troops a bonus to maximise your chance of victory! This novelty in how powers are used in Godus is also presented to players with a new UI visualisation. The power cards are looking more aggressive to better convey the combat theme. Annah has been working on this for the past few days and we’re happy to show some of the new visuals today. Rain of Purity is a power you probably already know. You’ll be able to use it in combat and its card now looks more beautiful than ever: Another cool new power is Military Settlements. It will allow you to build a special type of structure necessary to create Warbands. Here’s how it looks: A bunch of new exciting powers and visual improvements are part of the combat update and we will begin showing them to you very shortly. Let us know what you think! The Godus Team 22cans

I think what does rain of purity do in combat? Also, tornadoes, lightning, earthquake, etc?

So the cards are basically now more like Badges, which makes a whole lot more sense to me.

I am not sure what about the Rain card I do not like. I guess it is better then the old card, but still make it look like it is some super power and I think it is kind of a bla power. Maybe it should be bronze color rather then gold? Kind of let you know it is a lower end power rather then a meteor level power?
The Military settlement card I like. I think Rain should look more like it. It looks a lot better then the old card and it kind of does not look like a card. Which I like. Maybe that is also the issue with the rain card it still looks like a dolled up card where as the settlement looks more like a badge. The longer angles at the corners, longer back card and difference in colors, background vs foreground all work together to say it is a badge vs a card.

I think what does rain of purity do in combat? Also, tornadoes, lightning, earthquake, etc? It cleanses the dirty unwashed heathens obviously. Perhaps the enemy are cats and fear water. The badge concept is quite interesting, though if the idea behind it is to convey the military/conflict theme, having a power represented by the Carebear's cloud and rainbow is probably counter to the objective. +=

tikigod You totally read my mind. I literally started doing a similar mockup with Care Bears. XD

Hey this is just my vote on how the art should go. More Terror bear and less Care Bear look. But I think mindless may have beat me.

Here is the darkness, the pic itself isn't literally dark, its figuratively dark because of the subject matter.

Don't see any darkness here, either. It's a comedic character.

please stop with the darkness/pedobear stuff in this thread. There are other forum areas set up for such free-form discussion.
Back to topic;
So I noticed Steam forums really have become a wasteland of deja vu and dev-less interaction. Gonna hop into the Official forum and see if there's much going on there - which I doubt.
