I won mindless's competition thread with a promise to prepare a Christmas/New Year hamper for 22Cans, including items chosen by the community. I will put this together over the next few weeks and post it in late January. Or March. Or summer! But definitely in 2016. Or early 2017. Just kidding. Unlike 22Cans, I will actually keep my promise. So, the floor is now open for item nominations! Please post suggestions to this thread, or PM me if you would like your item to be a surprise/anonymous. Please observe the following rule: - Nothing illegal, unsafe, gross or anything that could be interpreted as threatening or harassment. I have deliberately posted this in the Open forum so anyone can get involved, but will ask mods to keep an eye on it and make sure it stays on-topic. We already had a couple of suggestions in the other thread which looked pretty good

Congrats. We'll hold you to that promise I'll just repost my suggestion here for the sake of convenience. Find some cheap copies of Black & White, Populous and Dungeon Keeper. Even some pictures of the games with simple explanations of some of the game mechanics would probably do. That might show them how God games actually look like. Maybe attach a note to make the intent clear.

Not aimed at fabs, but an small empty box labelled "fabs secret project" and another one labelled what's inside the cube and a third labelled Godus full release. A cross with R.I.P. Godus 1.3.

This is a formal request from the admin to all posters to stick to the spirit of the thread (and the season) and to keep postings up beat. Funny ideas are great, the more fun and irony the better as far as I'm concerned. But no ranting please.

I intend to fund everything myself, so I'm afraid they're not likely to be getting any iPads or Playstations in their stocking this year from Crumpy Claus. How much cash I am prepared to spend depends on how funny the ideas are. I will probably also chuck in a bottle of booze or something to keep things festive.
For the sake of brainstorming ideas, assume money is no object. I'm sure we can reach some compromises if it's looking a little unfeasible!

How about printing out that really long thread from Steam where they asked for all our suggestions and putting a label on it saying "I think you lost this".
Also, someone could make an illustrated timeline of GODUS comparing the anticipated dates versus actuals and highlighting some of the major events.
Maybe a note saying "We know you asked Santa to get those GODUS backers off your back, but Santa doesn't do people's homework for them, get to work!"
