Andy Walker, formerly head of production at 22Cans (Kyreal?), also apparently changed jobs in March 2016. Is there a story here perhaps? Is 22Cans shutting down or are they just shutting down GODUS?
I wonder how many Cans there are left, surely not 22 anymore.

Er, what? Aynen and Muir are unpaid volunteer mods on Steam. 22Cans has no power over them whatsoever. It's horribly sad that 22Cans has somehow managed to brainwash them into submission. I guess the threat is losing their much-coveted 'mod' status? My god. Yes, I would bet money on this. If you want to keep being our mod, you can no longer post on Proboards. This sucks but I don't see that as having a choice or if they to still be mods. And now that, that cat is out of the bag, I can officially flip my virtual finger at 22cans and tell them they have no semblance of class of any kind. We have always offered both sides a completely open venue and as uncensored as possible. 22cans clearly wants to hide in the shadows now.

But knowing how people feel about them around here I can see it was not a hard choice for them.

My only counter to that is to ask is being a mod on steam really worth being censored? The answer I come to is no it is not. Further, I don't think 22cans can afford to fire them even if they wanted to because then they would have to pay someone else to moderate. So if I was Aynen and Muir I'd just tell them to fuck off and see what 22Cans does about it. Another point is that with all these people leaving 22Cans who would be reading their posts here to know they were posting? Chances are whoever told them to not post here is probably not reading anything here anymore. As much as I'd like to think 22cans follows these forums I don't think they are.

Did people see the comments in this thread about Muir, Aynen and Dave being mods/CM for another game: steamcommunity.com/app/422420/discussions/3/385428458173738282/That is quite interesting. One amusing fact, the developers and Dave are quite active responding to questions on that forum. Maybe it is because it is early days but me thinks there is a culture of secrecy at 22cans and when people get out they revert to their usual friendly and honest selves.

I just assumed they saw their chance and slipped into the Lionhead studios group when they were offered jobs by other companies.

Bruno Taveres, formerly Lead Server Architect at 22Cans, left the studio in December. This isn't actually news and was spotted by vv[FuMM] a while ago. I just noticed on his LinkedIn he lists his 22Cans responsibilities as follows (emphasis mine): Also some discussion of the new game, which must be The Trail.

So what would the INTERNAL team have been working on?

So what would the INTERNAL team have been working on? I think its likely the external work is related to GODUS mobile and the functionality supporting the monetisation of that.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it is interesting that they haven't implement PvP GODUS Wars yet.

I didn't hear it from Colin. As far as I know it is only regarding posting on ProBoards. That's all I know really. It looks like this ban extends to the Steam boards, possibly to the point of posting nothing whatsoever outside of performing basic moderating actions. This thread was locked by Aynen, who pronounced it "derailed" following continued off-topic posting by Fragglerock Ampersand. It could very easily have been kept on-topic if Aynen or Muir had responded to the repeated questions about who in the 22Cans team is now coordinating the public-facing community volunteers, which is now reduced to the Steam mods. Perhaps they are embarrassed to admit that the answer to the question is "no one".

Aynen did tell me they have Colin's email but I think that was more misdirection than really answering the question about how they are getting her information/supervision from 22Cans. The best thing for GODUS right now would be for Aynen and Muir to quit. I don't say that with any malice but it would force 22Cans to find someone to police their forums.
