Nice idea. I'll take a screenshot when I play Axis Cult and people say that they will cut off the connection if they hear any attempts to convert them into my religion. UPD: As of size of my empire, here is what it has become. And I'm in the middle of integrating my vassals, too. UPD2:Here it is, as promised. I knew it, we really should remove the toilet paper from all of the toilets of the empire, including embassies, and replace them with recruitment flyers of the cult. So they will pray to Aqua before using the bidet (voice activated by the prayer).

I also remember not renewing a migration agreement because of synths running away from my empire.

Thanks morsealworth. That game does look pretty interesting. I've got to get my hands on it at some point, probably way in the future. Must have new laptop first.

Be careful, it's full of placeholders. It feels like proof-of-concept alpha rather than a release or even beta. I must admit that the few things that work are awesome, though. I played three nights through it. Nights. Like, "What the doodley, is that dawn?" kind of playing through night. And I've created my second empire, based on hyper network this time. It's hard mode this time (Spiritualist Xenophobe Collectivist molluscoids). No one will keep me away from crucial lane connections, I'll crush them before they try.

There are definitely some gaps that will be filled by expansions and DLC. Having said that, at 67 hours I'm still having fun. I don't know what the price is like in other areas but here this game is less than half the cost of Civ 6, so very good value.
The game is more enjoyable if you can get 3+ mates together for a game. To do this you obviously need some decent stretches of time to play or to go all night like Morsealworth.

This really does look like a great game. Definitely going to have to keep it on my wishlist. It will be heavily discounted as soon as the first expansion is released, Paradox games always are.
I don't know if I've mentioned it but I love the implementation of the tech tree. People having been trying to reinvent the tech tree concept for years and haven't nailed it but in this game they tried something completely new and it really pays off.

Just never type techweights soc in the console. Because you'll see the chance of ever getting Psi Jump Drive in your research tree as 0.0% even with Fanatic Spiritualist (because it's less than 1‰).

Is that a particularly good tech? I do find it a bit tough that techs like research assist and observatory can be unavailable for a long time.

Well, it's essentially a Warp Drive without travel time and with longest (150) jumping range in the game. The only (arguably) better FTL would be Wormhole Drive for its unique ability to ignore state borders (as in, jumping over neutral territory, not to/from it). And regular Jump Drive has range of 100 while requiring research that makes Wormholes' range 130, so It's kinda obvious choice.
Also Jump Drive warmup and cooldown doesn't scale and is 15 and 5 days respectively. This is very useful when moving huge military fleets.
Oh, and researching/using the Jump Drive before Machine Consciousness or Prethoryn come to the scene gives you a chance to release The Unbidden and gain their extra-dimensional weaponry as a good bargaining chip against all your neighbours.

Someone has played a lot of Stellaris. And read the wiki. Oh, and Warp Drive warmup and wind-down time scales with distance while Wormhole warmup scales with fleet size. Hyperdrive doesn't have either scaling like a boss nor does it require to leave the gravity well before entering the hyperlane. Of course, when there's no hyperlane, there's no hyperlane, though.

Now that I think of it: Does playing Stellaris in my dreams count as play time? Because I totally did play it in my dreams after shutting it down and going asleep.

Wow, didn't realize Psi drive was that rare. I'm still on my first game (going the distance with it and trying to be friendly to the rest of the galaxy) and stumbled into the Psi tech by accident. Only complaint I have right now is that the NPC nations don't seem to take our space bug invasion as a problem. They lose systems left and right while going to war with each other. I ended up having to invade and conquer a friendly neighbor because they refused to let non-allies have access to their space and I was watching them slowly get eaten by the roach patrol.

The Jump Drive itself is the rare one. other Psi techs are easier to acquire. Also, study as much of monsters' debris as possible - not only their shells give you insights into Neutronium armor, their strike craft is a pretty good version of bomber craft and their rockets are really high tier. Also, since you have already triggered a crisis, feel free to research all the dangerous techs you can.
