Outside of Godus, what games are people playing?
Currently I'm between TSW and Transistor

The only game I've played recently is the Amiga version of The Settlers from 1993.

I'm a big Kentucky Route Zero fan and Act III was just released two or three weeks back. So, yeah, I'm there.

But I found the graphics stile so beautiful. Thank you for reminding me that this game exists. Since yesterday I am playing XCom Enemy Within (another thing I bought but didn't play) and find it quite enjoyable. Besides that I recently bought The Bureau (Xcom) and Transistor that I also play. On tuesday "Watch dogs" will be released (I preordered it almost a year ago) so I will spend quite some time with it if i finished my duties for university and my master thesis.

Likely more than you bargained for in a reply but I recently viewed a pre-Act III interview conducted in Toronto with Jake, Tamas and Ben, and I was struck by several things. A) Jake did virtually all the talking. It clearly wasn’t an ego thing since he frequently looked to the others for some form of support or input. So Cardboard Computer seems to be a talented, unassuming team that consists of one extrovert and two introverts. No, this observation isn’t intended as a value judgment between one personality type and another. It’s just to illustrate the ineffable magic that can happen between different personalities.
B) Jake disseminated loads of minutia without wholly revealing the discrete elements that underpin Kentucky Route Zero’s stylized visual art, shifting storytelling devices, sound design or synthesized influences and hommages. Yes, he pointedly identified “debt” as a contemporary influence, but this impact upon Kentucky Route Zero won’t come as a surprise to anyone who has already dipped their toe into these gaming waters. Even so, the layered mix delivers something new and wonderfully old in both feeling and form.
C) “Magic Realism”? That’s how the developers describe KRZ, but I disagree. This isn’t magic, it’s something far more valuable. It’s comprehensive and virtuosic artistry.
Yes, that’s what I took away from watching the discussion video in addition to repeated playthoughs.
Sometimes the most unassuming individuals command unusually rare gifts. I think your friend belongs to this particular cadre, and I think it’s of immeasurable personal value that you know him as a friend, and not the later-day media god that I believe him to be.

I went ahead and bought "Theme Hospital" from GOG after I saw it on Ba'al retro gamer magazine on the train back from UK. I really like this game. I can actually complete the levels all on my own and have fun while doing it. Great game!

I'm playing Dishonored and loving it. I played through last week taking the 'evil' route and am now trying to complete it whilst causing minimal chaos in order to get a happier ending. It's interesting the way the game balances good and evil - unlike, for example, Black and White where choosing to be evil is clearly not the best way to play the game and will hinder your progress. Being evil in Dishonored allows you to complete the game more easily and quickly, and you can take better advantage of all the fun evil-powers you can upgrade. Playing through with mimimal lethalities requires a whole different approach and it feels like a different game.

I've been game-jumping lately - playing an hour here and there of several games. I do that when I don't have time to focus to heavily on one game. These past two weeks it's been; Shadowrun Returns, Project Zombiod, Deponia, and the classic Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe.
Good stuff, all around.

I am full-diven into Tropico 5. It has much less edict-related things I liked in 4th game, but ministers, for example, evolved into Managers, so I can't really complain. It's awesome.

Just finished Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Was an interesting game. I liked the game world the most I think and considering the conservatively sized studio that worked on it I think it was pretty fun overall. Up next for me is Broken Age.

I have considered getting Brothers, and Broken Age is on my "play soon" list; I picked it up during Steam Summer Sale.

I need help. haha. Indeed, I need serious help. It's a catch 22; I probably already have enough games to keep me entertained well into retirement, but I would only have time enough to play them all if I retired now and didn't buy any more. XD

I've played through Premier Manager 2 recently. Another 1993 game, but still fun.

A mixture of Remember Me and Dishonored (finishing up some last-gen games before getting a PS4 at Xmas time).
