Tropico 5 again. It consists of average gameplay, LOTS of humor and good, very good music.

I'm actually not playing any games at this point in time (mostly watching Youtube and catching up on anime). Though I do have Pixel Piracy recently acquired and I'm considering sinking some of my free time into Firefall and Robocraft. Aside from that I'm keeping an eye on the updates around Minecraft (both modded and vanilla), there's still interesting stuff going around there. Having recently played a lot of Agrarian Skies (modpack), a youtuber (PurpleMentat) who did a full playthrough on that pack is now doing another pack with a similar concept which looks very interesting and could be worth checking out once the pack goes out of its testing phase.
Mostly I'm waiting for Pillars of Eternity to go into beta next week though (august 18th) - It'll be interesting to play that finally.

I moved to indie games a few years back (as a consumer) and right now, I'm really quite liking the audio/gameplay of 140. game140.com/That looks good. It looks like Thomas Was Alone if Thomas dropped acid. Plays a bit like impossible game, but less forced and much better music.

Was playing CivIV:Col with Religion & Revolution mod. But somehow i got a strong desire to play A-Train lately. Don't know why but this forum reminds me of a lot of games that i haven't played for years.
I think i will be setting up my amiga and try it today (hope the discs work). I remember some long summer nights with A-Train more than a few years ago. Maybe i will play A-Train 9 on my pc afterwards.
I think it's a sign that i am getting older - when old and retro games get more appealing than most of the new games. When i was young i thought: when my Kids are in that age we will have so many great games. Games that simulate really big cities, every inhabitant will have his own life, every grain of sand (ups, no that's not necessary). I remember when i talked with friends about the future - endlesse possibilities. But now we have "better" graphics but else (and even there i am not sure)? Look at games like Sim City. Never played another Sim City game since Sim City 4. With Kickstarter i got some new hope that games would take another direction, but games like Godus made me careful. I don't want to back the traditional publisher way which lead us to the point we are now. But that's the wrong thread, sorry.

If it doesn't work, download the Amiga emulator WinUAE for your PC, it works brilliantly. Download link. You may also want to download some Kickstart ROMs. Here's a link for a complete package so you could emulate any Amiga ever created. And of course you would also want the game. A great site to get Amiga games (or games for other old systems) is thegamearchives.net. Here's a few download links for the floppies. A-Train disk 1A-Train disk 2Or, if you prefer the German version... A-Train German disk 1A-Train German disk 2I remember some long summer nights with A-Train more than a few years ago. So do I. I played it till I was too tired and then went right back at it as soon as I woke up. Sigh... Those were the days. Maybe i will play A-Train 9 on my pc afterwards. That was a joke right? I think it's a sign that i am getting older - when old and retro games get more appealing than most of the new games. Been having that feeling for about a decade and a half.

Seems like i am not the only one emulating the old games. Have you ever played "The Wild Bunch", "Vermeer" and "Taipan" on an Amstrad CPC Emulator? Nice Games for that time. Amstrad (in Germany Schneider) CPC 464 was my first computer. Later i bought a CPC 664. The 464 i had to sell when i became my Commodore 128D - my parents forced me to do it - they said nobody needs more than two computers. As they did with the C128D when i bought my Amiga (terrible, i never made that mistake again).
I think i have the english Version of A-Train. Most games have been in english in that time. Was not that bad. Could tell my parents that it helps me learning english.

Nope, never played any Amstrad games. I started out on a C64, then a newer model C64, then Amiga 500 and later Amiga 1200. The Amiga days were the best gaming days of my life.

Just finished playing Papers Please earlier this week. Thoroughly enjoyed it and really dug the art style. One guy did all the programming, art, and music. Pretty crazy. Going to get The Vanishing of Ethan Carter once it comes out. Looks like my cup of tea.
