Personally, speaking, I'd say our commitment to adding in a shades-of-grey morality system with Commandments is worth mentioning, too. I don't know if that's worth adding to the positive side yet, just on the basis that these were the commandments that were definitely for sure coming out a week, maybe two, after the AMA, which was early April.

Yeah, that's a fair point. But hey, at least we've shared the design documentation detailing them

Reinstall stopped the s3e for a couple of minutes at least, leashing as used for allocation of workers works but nothing else, I also lost 25% of y crops, and the ability to reclaim them all back- so i lost 100+ groups and clawed back 80 or so leaving me below the current max of 420 before I lost the ability to leash/click/do anything aide from collect belief.

It's a small thing, but I like that storms now bring new chests instead of damaging buildings. I still don't think the mechanism makes any sense, even in the terms of this representing a 'living board game'. But at least for now it eases up the sticker deficit... some. Or, at least I've heard it does as I haven't played in months. The explanation would be that storms cause resources to be uncovered. Be it an actual chest that would be buried there (which could be somewhat less plausible due to the number of chests and the lack of other entities) or be it through natural resources which are uncovered by the storm (would need a more sensible resource system). You are right by saying that its an easy-fix ofcourse. As with most other PC oriented fixes or fixes for the complaints of PC gamers. The idea seems to be to focus on band aids that treat the specific symptoms rather than fixing/removing the cause. That said - its better than the alternatives. Even if we'd all prefer the world to make a bit more sense. I've been working on an overhauled version of my existing suggestions - though due to personal circumstances I've had to postpone it a few times. With a bit of luck I'll be able to get that going within a reasonable amount of time and send it in to 22cans - I might drop it here aswell.

since that is not Happening i would that delete: • Opt-In Build that is more frequently updated and this i would Switch to planned cause ist not ok to have a build timer with 1 day or more : • Reduction of timers and intention to further reduce them (to something comparable with other strategy games)

Well, I met Monkeythumbz and Jack in person and they were awesome people. I think maybe I did drink a bit of the Koolaid to some extent to go back to the "wait and see" but then again, what's a few more months when we have come this far? I have chosen to try to look at it as a bit more of an adventure than a journey and I, for now, keep myself in check with the negative thoughts. This all being in hopes that PM does not come out with some horrid speech again in between now and then. ..............if he does.............then no promises. LOL. I've always thought that Jack seemed very nice and innocent in the whole thing. Matthew and George are of course decent people and I even have a small amount of sympathy for Peter (not sure why). I see the angst that exists as the price of the early access process. Whenever you trade money for promises there is going to be conflict if those promises aren't met. If I paid a builder in advance to fix my house and he didn't do it or didn't do it to my satisfaction there would be some harsh words said. I don't see why EA should be any different. 22cans promised something and until they deliver people will be pissed. Doesn't mean we hate the people though especially since people are just doing their jobs and have limited shares of the responsibility.

Trying not to get over excited so I wont be disappointed. Hoping it will be a brilliant release.

Since its a cross platform idea (intended to serve mobile and PC) I'll be really interested to see whether its good on PC. I hope it is.

I've been holding my breath, metaphorically by not playing the game, since March - and my involvement in this has been on life support since May. Amazing, and stubbornly, I have been hanging on with hopes that the PC Sprint will at least give me a second chance. This new "Settlements" operation might provide a miraculous recovery, but I'm skeptical about the procedure. And, I can't think of any more appropriate analogies, so I'll just stop...

Reminder: This is the positive thread. True. lol. I'm having a hard time thinking of anything else to add. I wish there were more original Backers still around, and on this forum. They'd probably know some more to add to either list.

We're watching the spammers and tumbleweeds on the official forum. Nope, only me you and Muir with his mod hat on over there too.

We're watching the spammers and tumbleweeds on the official forum. Nope, only me you and Muir with his mod hat on over there too. Exactly. And it's been a ghost town for almost a year; people started leaving around Sept-Oct last year. For an kickstarter/early access beta game still in development, that's pretty abysmal, and sad. That means they chased away nearly everyone that believed in them enough in the beginning. Granted a lot of them migrated to the Steam forums, and might still be around, but it's just not a good picture no matter what colors you paint it.

Reminder: This is the positive thread. It seems to me that everyone is quite positive in their opinions about the current state of the game. =P It'll be interesting to see if a supposed change nearly 2 years into development can do anything to alter those opinions. Its hard not to be skeptic.

I have to wonder if that was the plan so they can start fresh with the PC builds and not have any baggage of old expectations. They sent Matt and George over to the insane asylum here to keep a guard on us. Just kidding, to go with the positive, Matt and George are doing the best job they can and I am glad to have them here to pass on what they can.

I've actually been with 22cans in some capacity since around July 2013, so a little over a year I suppose. But yes, you're totally right that the official forums have been slowly decreasing in activity over the last half year or so. Some of that is the result of Steam forums becoming a preferred place for some members. Additionally, keeping the forums restricted to just backers was, to be honest, something I was never fond of to begin with if only because you'll never grow as a community. You start off with a finite number of members and that number will only dwindle over time. By way of math, it is impossible to grow a closed community beyond the finite number of members it begins with. Without that trickle of new members (and outside opinions) activity can significantly decrease and, at best, stagnate. Having a public forum alongside an exclusive backer subforum is, to me, the most elegant solution. Anyway, all that to say that I'm really looking forward to giving some deserved attention back to the official forums. The new forum look and update is one step of many towards that goal, but ultimately George and I would love to see an active and harmonious network of community sites ranging from the official forums, the Steam forums, and fine forums such as this here which are free from official influence.

One of the things I've always been confused about. It doesn't seem to be a thing to do if you want to promote and grow your game. I'd be curious to hear the reasoning behind that particular decision (completely exclusive forum as opposed to exclusive sub-board). Though I guess better late than never? Might be hard to get the people to switch from their chosen huntinggrounds though. Its always harder when you have your community split across several locations. I'm glad to see a number of improvements slowly being introduced though.

I'm glad to see a number of improvements slowly being introduced though. Had it happened in March, it would be a different story. With as much reluctance to talk as has slowly crept into the Steam forums, I just can't see a lot of people migrating over at this point. I'm finding it difficult to bother responding to a lot of things on Steam simple due to the fact that I feel 22Cans has too much control over the conversation. It's a large chunk of the reason I hopped on here. This feels a lot closer to neutral ground. The amount of official activity on here is one of the few things that makes me feel we're actually being listened to.
