Conor is a good guy Danjal, there's no need to get all personal just because he's another official voice on the forum. If you have criticisms of the studio or the game, please direct them towards me or Matthew. Conor is just trying to help. Nothing personal there George, just saying that if you're complaining about the attitude of some people (in direct response to his comment on the steam boards) - there's a reason why that exists. And as "face" of the company (regardless of whether you're responsible for something or not), you're going to receive some of the community response. Course, with that in mind. The ones actually in charge have rarely shown their faces in 'public'. We can only hope that you few public figures can be so kind as to relay our messages and hope that one day it'll hit home. In any case, welcome to the trenches. There may or may not be cake at the end. We'll just have to wait and see. Mmmmhhh cake..

How many hours of Godus play time do you think you have logged? On steam both online and offline I have logged around 1600 hours of Godus, then on mobile testing I would guess...around 1100 more hours but that's hard to keep track on since we switch device and restart regularly...so roughly i would say close to 2700 hours of Godus played....and I still haven't been given a medal

Welcome to the (maybe slightly more friendly that steam) forums I guess as we are doing the gently-grilling you for questions in this thread too, I should get my question in too! For your work in QA, at what kind of stage of bug-finding/fixing do you hand on over to other people? By this I mean, do you just have to find a bug and stick it on a spreadsheet, do you have to find what section of the code you think it is in and assign it to the person who coded that bit, do you have to go into the code and find the function that you think is messing up and then check if it's simple enough to fix yourself? I am not a coder so no I don't edit broken material myself, even if I was this would probably be a terrible idea and throw off the original writer when he comes back to it because he would have to familiarise himself with my changes before he could continue When we find a new issue or am able to reproduce a player bug in office we will write up a bug report in JIRA and send it off to production, obviously we try add as much detail as possible such as reproduction steps, priority, how often it we can reproduce it, the desired end result, essentially we try make it as easy as possible for the programmer/artist to who is responsible for fixing the issue to both find and then be able to work out what went wrong How hard is it for you to replicate bug reports? I imagine that due to each player's state in the game being a special snowflake it's quite hard? We used JIRA here in the office and found that given the low staff count (there are two of us) there wasn't really any point to using it. Would you call it a life-saver in your office?

We used JIRA here in the office and found that given the low staff count (there are two of us) there wasn't really any point to using it. Would you call it a life-saver in your office? Quite honestly if we didn't have JIRA the bug reports and lists would be a hopeless mess of unreadable information and we would never reproduce or fix anything, ever It's been a fantastic help in keeping track of issues and when we need them fixed for, all the additional information you can attach means the people responsible for the fix can get it done as quick as possible without having to ask too many questions Replicating bug reports can be a huge pain sometimes if its a really obscure bug of if the finder was never able to reproduce it more than once themselves, for exactly that reason that everybody game state is different in either subtle or dramatic ways... That's why if you ever bring an issue to the Bugs and Glitches section on steam I'll nearly always reply with a request for your save game be attached when you submit it This is another life-saver because it means we hardly ever have to start from scratch and attempt to play exactly like the person who found the issue, we can drag it in, load it up, and skip all the build up normally required

Rather than a plug-in for Skype, it could easily be made into an app for mobiles. In fact I'd be surprised if one hasn't already been made, Q&A games are hardly patentable.
