I had a crash when I did the second expansion totem & when I tried to place my first settlement, but it then proceeded to work fine as soon as I started up. Only problem now I really have is that I need gems to make my people happy so the astari stop stealing my people, and the only real way to get gems is to kill people which makes them unhappy

Nope... Voyages still crashing the game for me. /lesigh. Anyone else playing on Windows 8.1 having similar issues? Well that would explain it...They're probably not building with Windows 8 in mind. Have you tried creating a shortcut and running it in compatibility mode? Doubtful it will work, but never hurts to try.

Yep On my third round through the tutorial, haha... what was the definition of insanity again?

Okay so I have a giant settlement of 100 people and it's giving me 300 belief an hour. The balance on this is just horrible, absolutely horrible. Well, mine is telling me it'll take 4 days before it even starts functioning in the first place.... (and that gives me 1 follower) And its only giving about 300~400 belief. Scaling? Whats that? Its just a single big hut.

Oh fun fact by the way, sacrificing followers isn't enjoyable at all because it makes your people unhappy and unwilling to breed for awhile. Some of you may have already seen it, but according to Digital Jam, it delays breeding by around 45 minutes I think he/she said. Ah. So. Vehement complaints about timers is remedied by providing an alternative that is even less enjoyable. Seems legit.

To the untrained eye... it kinda just seems like a giant middle finger from PM to the PC crowd.. doesn't it? It does... At every turn... Also getting pretty annoyed at the camera turning 'resetting' whenever you move around. Really, I just turned it that way, you'd think I did that for a reason - perhaps because, you know, I don't wanna look at things from an angle? Or because I want to look at it from a SPECIFIC angle? And who ever thought it'd be a good idea to lock the turning... Why not just allow the player to free turn all around if the player desires... Ahh its the little things that do it, and its the little things that break my resolve of even WANTING to try this. (okay, a 4 day timer isn't little, neither is a 450 gem "speed up")

For me, it seemed killing off people forced about a 25 minute respawn timer for the population, and the happiness hit was pretty big. It is however a sustainable way to generate belief if you have enough houses... you only need to sacrafice 5 people (500 mana) to buy a 1000 mana boost, so technically you can convert people in mana, at a cost of 100 mana per person and a hit to happiness (and a temporary hit to population)

I can't believe how slow it is to generate belief. Do you feel crucified, yes I do. Watching tv and playing and standing in front of fire and still don't have enough to entertain me. The gem shop just feels like a big kick in the nuts. I don't feel like 22cans bashing today but GODUS this really rubs F2P in your face.
I like the new huts and the temple of doom seems interesting although based on other comments it doesn't seem like balancing is right. Oh and new timeline is an improvement.

Lol still waiting for belief. 22cans this game is about sculpting - no belief, no sculpting.

Honestly this really does feel like no-one sat down and spent even 2-3 hours playing through it, a lot of these things are really really easy mistakes to fix, for example: - Don't block rotation. Why the hell can't you continue rotating in one direction? this is just flat out stupid.
- Belief generation of farming settlements is far, far, far, far, far worse than the original houses. 300 belief an hour for 100 population?
- Somehow my farming settlement can generate 10 people in 2 minutes, but when it comes to farmers it takes 30 minutes for one? Why add MORE timers when it takes long enough to farm a field anyhow?
- Yes one of my people is homeless, do you have to make a bleep sound every 15 seconds about it?
- Holy forest spell... plants a tree. Not exactly a forest.
- The astari join me because I'm happier than them... of course they are now immediately homeless and start draining my happiness away.
- "Fill your time with minigames they said"... no voyages left for a week after doing the 3 listed (not including tutorial one)
- Unlocks are based on raw number of farms. Thus making bigger farms is kinda pointless if you aren't going to AFK most of the time?
- Overall even spending gems as wisely as I think I could, it's still very very slow. I did all of the voyages in the time I was waiting for things to build or expansion shrines to be done.
Basically It needs a bunch of little tweaks, and then it genuinely will be a good improvement on the last version, but right now it just doesn't feel fun to play.

Pretty much this - worst thing about it, most of the issues listed here were already in the game in some form or other. Also, seriously - save stickers? For what? WHY would I save my stickers? I have stickers plenty and no cards to spend it on (except the few I unlock after hours of waiting)...

Going to see guardians of the galaxy. This game is not made to be played in one stretch. There is just nothing to do while you wait for belief/timers.

I still feel like 22cans don't play their game in 4-8 hour sessions like a normal person. Why do we have to keep making the same point when it's obvious? We don't want to spend hours sitting in front of a screen with nothing to do.

Tikigod (on the Steam forums) made mention that after you reach a certain point in the game timers seem to revert back to more "reasonable" pre 2.1 times due to a card or monument or something. obv I haven't reached this point yet but it does seem like an "interesting" design choice.

We don't want to spend hours sitting in front of a screen with nothing to do. I think, statistically speaking, 'normal people' don't play games for 4~8 hours on end... Gamers do, but gamers aren't exactly the largest potential audience to sell to. So they chose to cater towards the people that do indeed play during piss, coffee, lunch, smoke and other kind of breaks. The people that grab their device of choice, tap away for a bit while waiting on the bus or before your next scheduled appointment and just kinda pitterpatter away. And with that in mind, if you're in that situation. You're not going to need an excessive amount of content. Neither will you get bored by being throw into the same boring stuff over and over again. Because last time I checked, these are also the people that complain they don't like it when a game is very story heavy. Because if they played (say Final Fantasy) the game last week and saved, they've already forgotten what it was about and what they were doing. So why bother with all of that if you can just provide the player with menial chores, minigames and generic repetition! Its such a shame that they're still not able to provide these simple fixes though...

There is a free card which cuts building times by 90%. It's at exactly the same point they then put the grain-wall in place, so rather than you sitting around waiting for the house to build, you get to sit around waiting for the grain to grow so you can then build the house quickly

Makes sense... well, possibly makes sense to a proverbial nose-deaf designer whose married to an ill-suited idea.
