My playthrough was fairly short - I gave up once I ran into 7+ minute timers - but the quick notes I'd add are - ... The thing that most concerns me about the 7 minute timers is how early they appear in the game. 22Cans seem to believe that getting the current build up to standard for the PC is simply a matter of "balancing", which implies they intend to reduce a few timers and maybe change some costs here and there. But at the same time, they are obviously of the opinion that 7 minutes is a short timer. Short enough that it can appear in the first 10 minutes of play and users aren't expected to be put off by it. This doesn't bode well.

I noticed nobody here posted any quibbles about the leashing of followers costing 100 belief each, which is insane and just makes things all the harder to control, especially since it takes for ever to generate belief in the early game. This bothers me to no end. Also, the Holy Forest power cost 200 belief to start, but only allows planting one tree (not a forest), and then frustratingly increases belief cost for each tree you plant. How is that even useful, or beneficial, or create any desire to want to use it? Both of those issues were almost enough to make me quit and uninstall. The timers are still horrendous, and belief generates far too slowly; I ran the game for 5 hours last night, and half of that was just leaving it running while I went shopping and had dinner. EDIT: I forgot to mention that, at this point in the game, I had spent zero gems to speed up that game - other than buying the " Primitive Sticker Pack" simply to see what it was. So resisting spending gems is probably part of why my game is progressing so slowly. And Voyages are still the bane of my existence - I think they are boring and make absolutely no sense (why are they marching across the land to enter a temple instead of just landing the boat closer to the goal? Oh, because there's a pier mysteriously already there?). They're not fun at all. I don't know how they'll fix any of this in the PC sprint, but as it stands right now, if it was a F2P game, I would be quitting and uninstalling it. I'm giving it a little more time today, because I want to try getting to some more of the content, but I am not enjoying it at all. I may or may not post my writeup of thoughts, because why bother... I've been posting stuff for a year now and it all seems pointless.

Me either, they are a hell of a lot longer than they were when the game first came out. If I bake a batch of cookies and they are burnt because I cook them too long and I realize I fraked up my cookies and need to fix them. I certainly don't do it by leaving them in the oven even longer to have them burn even more. I do the opposite and take them out of the oven sooner so that my cookies are no longer burnt and now taste good. Somebody should tell PM his cookies are burning................wait we already did, for over a year and half.

If I'm not mistaken, the only thing pc-exclusive in this update is the pit of doom, right ( I'm talking gameplay-wise, so, not counting the commentary)? So the timers, as they are now, are exactly as they appear in mobile (which, dear god, can't imagine playing that)?
I think, in the week to come, some press junctions out there are going to review this pc-wise (fair game IMO - they're selling the product, after all, so people are well within their rights to review it as-is and give their recommendations on whether or not it's a worthwhile purchase). I do not see these reviews going very well. Not a surprise to me that this update correlates with a recent jump in players on steam. Also not a surprise that the peak number is substantially lower than what we saw with the 2.0 update in March. To me, it's pretty clear that they've lost players, and whatever number of new customers they've picked up isn't enough to make up for the number they've turned away. On pc, that is.
As for mobile, and how well that release may or may not be doing, I think we'll be better equipped to analyze that in a month or so.

This bothers me to no end. I've mentioned this before, so I didn't bother to repeat it. I also mentioned this more recently in some thread where I repeated its needed cost reduction and reworking to, if anything, be based on distance increasing the cost rather than a flat cost. If I'm not mistaken, the only thing pc-exclusive in this update is the pit of doom, right ( I'm talking gameplay-wise, so, not counting the commentary)? Isn't the game so much better now?

Redesigning the forum:
I think I would really like a timer on these posts. What if I had to wait 8 min for each word to load, that would really get me thinking about what else I could do on these forums, maybe I would post more and enjoy the whole experience so much more. But each post is also linked to a timer, that way I don't post too often, and have to carefully think about each post I submit, and which posts I really want to read! But wait, what if I could unlock a word by spending a gem. Gems are available from our own Lord Ba'al for a mere £5 for a starter pack. But if I want to use punctuation marks, or an emoticon in a post, well then I need some stickers.
Seriously guys - we need this mechanic if this forum is going to survive!

What happened to "we know there is a problem with the timers that need to be fixed?" Why release the game if the timers are not doing exactly what they want them to do, which is some of the longest timers and most obnoxious ways to grab money I have seen in any F2p I have ever played. Who the fuck wants to play a game that you are forced to wait days for timers for, since this is NOT supposed to be an aggressive F2p like the heinous FB games are, right ? Because, despite every denial this is a P2W mobile title and 22cans is a steaming sack of lying putrid excrement. Their demise shall be heralded in my heart right next to Zynga's.

I have a farming settlement with 1/1 farmers and 15/15 breeders; why can't we trade breeders for farmers? And if there are 15 breeders... what are they breeding? Also, how does one expand/grow the settlement once it's merged?
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out; and naturally you have to use the settlement power again, costing 3000 more belief.
