Dishonesty and lying are not the same thing, not being honest and outright lying are different states of deception.
Much like a dog is an animal, but an animal doesn't have to be a dog.
An outright lie and a dishonesty aren't necessarily the same thing.
For easy of linguistics you could argue they are, the reality isn't that simple.
22cans has lied, 22cans also has been 'creative with the truth'.
The latter aren't always lies... Especially not provable lies.
I know you like to just paint them all black - but at the end of the day it isn't all black.
While its quite clear that 22cans has gone though a variety of deceptions in order to get where they are.
And they have at times lied (be it intentionally or otherwise) - they have not exclusively lied.
I simply don't accept there is any honesty involved.
A dishonest statement is a lie. No ifs no buts. A lie.
"it was always presented as a mobile game" is a lie.
"it is a PC game because it is being developed with PCs" is a lie.
"we'll get to that PC sprint shortly" is a lie.
"we care what our kickstarter backers think" is a lie.
I can continue ad infinitum if you like because their lies are all but literally without end.
all the comm. rep.s lie, either by not telling what they actually know or by leaving misleading statements of we'll check that out and let you know and then only giving the part of the info that is not a blatant "P2W signal in the sky".
settlement revamp? well that was change some cosmetics and add a lovely P2W happiness paywall.
Sorry, not going to swallow the BS sandwich anymore.
As I have said for a year now, they may prove me wrong whenever they choose. Sadly they choose over and over to prove me right.
You want to give them a 387th chance? Go on and turn that cheek. You are a better man than I. I am now however giving back what is given.
and it is a sad visage across the reputable gaming spectrum.
They bound themselves to iOS cash grab and their ineptitude is now going to cost them that as well.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
