I have just given up. This is the first time I have read the forum in about two months, and am impressed by the development Godus has shown in those months.

Funny, even with massively speeded up timers and belief, I have been stymied by an inability to put farmers and miners to work, and can't progress. Dunno if it's a bug or something I'm doing wrong - so many empty fields, so many non-working farmers. Eh.

I thought that I'd give the latest iteration a go and restarted from new. I waited until I have to get to the next step for everything and now have so much on home world that I just overwhelm any obstacle. Filling the ark took minutes and I have just made the new trip to wey world.
I wish I could say that getting to level two is an improvement - but it's not, it's just harder. There remains no story or any real point other than to increase stocks and build to increase stocks.
The problem is that there was never a story, point or ending and that remains the same. Sculpting is clever (when you get all the upgrades) and works well but that is simply not enough.

Am not being a stranger. I just booted up Godus for the first time in months and gave up and then went to the forums and saw the news and ..
Bah. I'm still just here for the people. I'm just slack at being here.

I just can't be bothered to play through all that middling, unsatsifying game-play again just to experience Wallyworld (lol). So far it just sounds like more of the same slop, but presented differently - but differently in a way that is still not much fun if you've been on this boat since day one.
If I can say one thing about Early Access that is a bit of a negative; any bad past experiences during the development influences and impacts the opinion of the game, no matter if it's improved or not, and therefore any desire to play is adversely affected by those factors.

I think the desire to play is solely dependent on the enjoyability of the game.

I agree and its not specific to GODUS. If you blow your enjoyment on a early version it is hard to get the enthusiasm back to play the completed game.

That's why you take a good game lobotomy break and come back in a haze having forgotten everything from early on so you can play with fresh eyefingers to enjoy it all anew.

I load Godus up here and there, but my desire to play has all but vanished. I'll mostly likely give it a solid go when/if it reaches "100%"

Out of sheer morbid curiousity - figuring I can't accurately or fairly opinionate about Godus' current version, or Weyworld, unless I at least try it - I loaded it up and trudged along for about 45 minutes until I couldn't take the drudgery any longer.
Still not the game I would want to play.
