I have spent a LOT of work setting up a section for The Universim, so I hope people will like it. I moved the Whatever threads to a new section of their own. (as opposed to being a sub-board they are now a category) Likewise I have made a separate section for the members' sub-boards. All in all a somewhat hefty change. Hope y'all will still find your way. Some of you may have to update some bookmarks. Good work on that, I like!

Had to scroll through that awful video to find it. God I think I'm going to be sick You're welcome. Awesome! Thanks a lot mate! You took a bullet for me. Much appreciated. PS Why does it say I'm a wookie? LOL! That's because your rank is now between "Wannabe" and "Rookie".

Lets all try and get some discussion going about universe sim to entice new people along.

I can't recall if they've stated definitively that combat is currently being developed solely as a PC specific feature, or if it's cross platform, or have they been vague? Because they're making statements on the official forum, in response to questions about the next mobile features update, by saying that "currently combat is being worked on, and update coming soon..." (paraphrased). I have a couple screenshots of such comments at home, but was holding off posting until I could confirm their statement regarding the combat release platform(s).

They haven't said it won't but Kyreal is particular said on steam they had not plans right now and didn't know if it would even work etc. They said mobile might not be capable. It was pretty evasive and not definitive but they've definitely suggested it won't be. I don't really care if they release it on mobile but it pisses me off that they used it as a shield to the argument that PC godus is a cheap port by saying combat is PC exclusive. I don't believe it will remain on PC regardless of what they say.

I don't believe it will remain on PC regardless of what they say. Or use it to try to entice people to buy the game. I recall Dave asking me this in reply to me pointing out the state of development as described in a video to a conference of developers, to which he also claimed that "Tbh this video hasn't really hurt us in anyway. What you have to remember with this video is that Peter is giving a talk to a room full of developers, who are looking insights, knowledge and the ability to network among other companies. ... His insights are crafted to talk to developers, not consumers." (Which Dave forgot to note that I have mentioned that I...might know something about the game development process and could recognise when a title has been put into post-release support development - especially when that detail comes right from Peter's mouth - a detail that apparently wasn't supposed to be known by "consumers".) "[H]ave you tried the combat on the Opt-In branch yet?" Combat won't save this game from its own bad design. So I replied with the only appropriate response:

Actually I didn't want to participate in any discussion about Godus. Any. More. Anyway. When reading this some of you may think that I'm resignating, but that's not the case. See, I'm not a backer and haven't paid that much money . After all I've already spend more money for other things which were way more ridiculous . Well, yeah, I'm disspointed and frustrated, too. And when reading all the posts, here and on steam, it makes me fell as time has stood still. The thing is, from my point of view: It will not change for the better. And to prove that I will tell you a little story: A few months ago I've met a good friend. Pc/console gamer, medi-core, I would say. We usually do so to share gaming experiences with each other, while playing games, of course! So, I tell him which games I've encountered and vice versa. At this evening he took out his phone suddenly, telling me that he found a gem of a game. "It's so cool and looks so nice! You're about to be a god and have to leash your little followers and scape the land to make it possible for them to build their houses! It's perfect for break!" You may know which game he was talking about... So, a medi-core pc/console gamer is pretty much fascinated by Godus on mobile without any idea of the fact that Godus is actually supposed to be a pc game. You should have seen his face when I told him that one can buy it on steam early access as a pc game. ( And no, it's not a pc game just because I'm able to "play" it on my pc!) What I actually wanted to say is, it's working on mobile, so my guess is that it will not change for the better over time. They would have to rebuild it from scratch to convince me that it will change for the better. Just my opinion, ofc!

I have an account on Steam but I have not posted over there for a long time. I think posting should be fun above all else. When it is not fun and more frustrating, I stop, pack up my marbles and find another playground. This is my playground because it is fun for me. I kinda feel sorry for folks who only post at Steam and just keep slamming their heads into walls and fists in the air. It is beyond obvious how things are headed but I do love this community. Once we were just all about Godus, but now we move forward as well. I have my Key and someday if they ever fix the game, joy, I will not hold my breathe. My hope is they stop blaming the community and take full responsibility for their own actions. To be blunt, I just don't care anymore. So, as long as no one pokes this sleeping bear. My claws are retracted and I am dreaming of my shiny new picnic baskets from other campsites. On a side, I am now hugely craving a picnic basket both metaphoric and real food.

Looks like there's been a huge policy change over on Steam recently. www.gamasutra.com/view/news/244947/Steam_now_offering_refunds.phpI know there's different reasons members here may find that interesting, but regardless I think it's about time they did this. Steam seems far too lopsided when it comes to supporting developers over supporting customers. Just my two cents, though! No genuine reason or motivation to share this with you all other than the fact that it's a pretty interesting change.

I agree with you, it is about time, especially since other digital gaming outlets (even Origin, bleh) have been doing this for a while. I don't see it as a remedy for those of us who would like a refund. We've long surpassed the 2 hour limitation considering the hours upon hours the individuals here have put into Godus in good faith that 22cans would fulfill their Kickstarter promises... but it is a start. baby steps. Edit: I understand things get sticky when SEA is concerned, but I'm hopeful this continued line of thought will perhaps even the playing field and allow people who are genuinely put off by lousy development and broken promises an out. I, for one, can only think of one game I'd like to get a refund over out of my entire library. Pretty sure my hubby feels the same

I wonder if this is in any way spurred on by GOG entering the scene with Galaxy.

I'm guessing (hoping) Steam would have thought of something to prevent this already. If they haven't... well... that's a huge oversight. There are also people complaining about the possibility of rampant, illegitimate steam card farming. becoming a millionaire 1-2 pence at a time!

Oh god, the pirating argument... Sigh! As if the games are not being pirated already. There's no stopping it ever. When is the industry going to accept that fact?
