My, what a nice stapler you have there! Did I just see this? It's so bright and shiny and red, I love the color red but I prefer a pink one. Now where is my pink stapler?

My, what a nice stapler you have there! Did I just see this? You didn't not see it. The ladies love a big red stapler. It's so bright and shiny and red, I love the color red but I prefer a pink one. Now where is my pink stapler? next to Milton's red one. if they, if they take my, my stapler then I...I'll...I'll have to, I'll set the building on fire... Okay. I'll set the building on fire.

Ok so I've just had 10 support cases closed as no-ops, by that I mean they have closed them without me being aware anything has been fixed - so traditionally that suggests we have just had a release...

Yup! I'm not on support so much these days (mainly community 'stuff'), but in the past they'll usually close quite a number of issues that were outstanding and waiting to get properly implemented. Sometimes these get a reply and sometimes not (I usually tried to reply to each one when closing but sometimes it's hard to squeeze in the time to do that for a few hundred tickets). Anywho, here's the official announcement for the update (with the PC update coming within the next 24 hours).

I kinda expected a lot more activity on the forum tonight. I noticed the forum has been down for a little while tonight though, not exactly sure for how long. During the day the forum was a lot busier. They must be slacking in the USA.
I bet tomorrow will be even busier though with the pending PC update.

I should be sleeping, but sleeping's for pansies!

The game's taken some major hits in the press, and if a decent portion of people pay attention to any of that, they probably won't have bought it. Add to that the general bad press that Early Access as a whole has taken since release, as well as the exhaustion and exasperation with the Early Access model flooding the storefront from some users, it really doesn't help Godus that much. Hell, look at the Kickstarter comments to the update post for today's release, and the backers are appropriately tired of how 22cans has been handling the process, only to feel even more dismayed at the audacity of of them to release the update to iOS first. For more to be drawn to the game, it will take significantly more work to draw it out of the pit it's dug itself into, much of which may only surface during the eventual PC sprint.

Which is the very thing many of us tried to prevent by providing feedback on how to improve the PC side of things. Just such a shame that the general view tends to side with that of commercial popularity and they went down the mobile path instead. It'll be interesting to see which decision turns out to be the better one. Will their decision result in an overall better result for the game or will they have doomed themselves with a tarnished reputation...

I don't think the majority of people who play the mobile game will know anything about Godus prior to seeing it on the app store. The reviews & feedback provided in various places around the internet are way more relevant to PC gamers, because PC gamers do actually look at reviews before buying a game. You're talking about a F2P mobile game that's featured on the app-store and most likely has a very good star rating - they don't care if it's a bad PC game, they probably won't even know it's a PC game as well as a mobile game.

So about what time can we expect the PC update to be launched? About 5pm UK time as usual?

if by 5pm usual you mean like... 8:30-9:30pm when they finally fix the pesky last minute bugs, then I agree with that timing guess XD

Yeah but they try to aim for 5. If they'd try to aim for 9 then it would surely become tomorrow.

I just noticed I'm only six five posts away from 2000. I may have to start thinking about something profound to say.
