I don't wonder that' It's precisely the same crap since 2013 and wondering about it is a little too old. I'd prefer to hear the news about fraud lawsuit preparations.

I'm currently working on a lawsuit.
Since I asked here for interested parties, I didn't get much of a response and decided to proceed on my own.
UK doesn't allow for class action lawsuits, but my lawyer advised there should be a way for interested parties to piggy back onto my lawsuit, and he will be able to file claims that are basically a copy of mg original suit, on their behalf.
Further, I'm gathering all the posts and e-mails I wrote to Steam and Kickstaeter as proof that they were made aware of the fraud, but were negligent to stop it being perpetrated via their business.
If anyone had send any emails to Steam and Kickstarter regarding Godus, and will eventually want to piggy back on my lawsuit, I'll take your e-mails as well for documentation.
I'm contemplating on filing separate suits in US, against Kickstarter and Steam, as they have physical offices in US territory, and US does allow class action.

I think you'll find the concepts of "plausible deniability" and "22Cans employees' reluctance to make themselves unemployable" to be somewhat stymying to your lawsuit.

Plausible deniability is usually pre-actioned and used to insulate upper management from the acts of their employees... with regards to Godus... well... good luck with that.

I'm not a backer, I paid £15 for it, I'm sorry but a lawsuit because they half finished a game and calling them criminals for it? I actually think £15 was ok for the hours I played it. Don't get me wrong, I feel let down by the promises which were no where near my expectations (the fact they made it for mobile 1st being my main gripe), but I've brought worse over the years and got no money back. At this point only reason I interact is the nice people I met here.

Me thirteen (sorry, I couldn't wait for six more to chime in) I think they either don't have anything much to really share, or are just trying to drag it out until things dry up. We've been down these roads before. Yes, this definitely feels like a war of attrition. Nine months ago, when Konrad introduced himself, I very much understood combat as a quick win. It has turned out to be a very slow win. Oh GODUS I hope they have been working on other improvements and features in parallel.

Maybe their intern left and they only have Richard now. Edit: Twitch feed off so we can't see who is left, no Dave interaction in at least a month. Simon is silent all but a twitter about Trail internal demo or something?

I have this feeling that Dave doesn't work there anymore.

If he does, he hasn't done a lot of "community managing" of late. I've been keeping an eye on the 22Cans "About us" page for staff changes but I'm no longer convinced it's being kept up-to-date. I think they cottoned on that it was being used to identify when key people had left.

I have this feeling that Dave doesn't work there anymore. What does it say about the state of things when the community has to resort to speculation as to whether or not the community manager even works at the company anymore

Maybe they figured that with the community now down into double digits a comunity manager was a luxury that they could afford to cut back on. If they do indeed want the comunity to die out then keeping such a job role open would work counter to their ultimate goal

I was using those two words literally as opposed to the phrase. There is enough muddy water for them to push a narrative that circumvents all the holes in their excuses. *Am the "original" petermolyneux account*

He is apparently no longer an intern, but has been enlisted as a "junior programmer" by 22Cans: That's one way to keep down wage expenditure, I guess.

I'm not sure if they're trying to mock us or if it's their way of saying "Start the hype train for The Trial!"

Username: colin22cans Last Online: 16 minutes agoI'm not sure if they're trying to mock us or if it's their way of saying "Start the hype train for The Trial!" I don't think they have intent, there is simply nothing to say so they say nothing.
I don't believe you can call what is happening development. I don't know what it is but unless they have a wealth of secret progress there is no way that GODUS is ever completed.
Assume the best case scenario - they have almost finished combat and are about to release it. If that is true then in 9 months they have completed a small component of a game lacking several ages, huge swathes of assets, a resource system, animals, etc. This ignores the three to six months of bug fixing they'll probably have to do on combat after they release it.
I know Simon says Peter fucked up and has said it publicly but Peter's biggest lie was that development without a plan could work. Peter has never admitted that not having a plan and not sharing a real plan was a form of deceit.
I'm not angry about GODUS anymore, there is nobody left to be angry at. Who could I be angry at? Simon? He came late and bears no blame. Jack? He is long gone and was probably as used by Peter. Only Peter is left to blame and he has been whipped enough.
Ultimately GODUS is just a sad joke with no punch line. It wont even go out with a bang, just one day they'll come into work and say "should we keep working on GODUS?" and conclude "Nah, lets do something else." It wont be a big decision, just final recognition of the reality staring them in the face since at least December last year.
As I said, just a sad joke.

Anyone want to hedge a bet on a "late summer" Friday combat update? Who knows, we could get super de-duper lucky. Aynen? Muir? any news? hmmmmmmmmmmm?
