Farging decided to be brave and start up his copy of Godus Wars. So far so good. Cute little intro to the team that has worked on Godus Wars. Chose the third God since it's the one that personifies the type of internet troll that lead 22cans to Create Godus Wars. On to the Map, you need Keys to unlock new sections of the map, this will definitely not be monetised. nope... never. Ready to start a battle, the absence of a long meandering voice over is both jarring and welcome. Clicked to start a battle, a crudely-made roulette wheel of sorts randomly chose a blank battle modifier for Farging. Annndddd!!! Crash. s3e has stopped responding. 2nd go... back to the battle stage, here goes nothing! Waiting on loading screen. 2 minutes of Nothing.... Then this appears. gg 22cans. Maybe next year you'll finally figure out Marmalade?

From the steam store page
Take control of one of four Deities, each with different play styles, abilities and powers. Use your might to battle over 7 varied continents, through hundreds uniquely designed and modifiable levels. Collect over 20 different Power Cards with potentially thousands of variations and use them to gain the upper hand in battle.
*Control expansive armies with up to 50 different unit types from Archers to Catapults!
Wield up to 8 mighty God Powers to bring devastating destruction or protection to your followers. Maps that change as you play with the unique deformable land - No two battles will be the same! Godus Wars includes Godus
Is that in there yet?

As @undeadoverpromise pointed out in another thread, it looks like "Godus Wars" is just a demo mode for DLC delivery, much like Godus is just a demo mode for microtransaction delivery:
The Early Access build includes: First continent included as standard - Second continent available unlock-able via premium addon. Over 70 unique and deformable levels 4 playable Deities with a range of abilities 2 base unit types - Archers & Catapults! 20 cards with 10 power levels! 2 Deity opponents - including Bryan Henderson! Original Godus included
Wow, content paywalls already visible on the horizon for a $15 lobotomised RTS addition to a poor conversion of a mobile cow clicker...in Early Access.
It is at this point where I have to suggest to 22cans that they hire the business analyst BEFORE they make these decisions...

do the 4 playable deities actually have different play styles, or any differences at all for that matter?

So Godus Wars is definitely more than just burying reviews and trying to erase the past... It's also a means for 22Cans to introduce pay walls and micro-transaction content into Godus whilst attempting to bypass their original promise that by buying Godus on PC we'd be getting full access to everything. Someone was kind enough to post the screen you're presented with once you 'Win' the first land of Godus Wars: If Godus Wars is "How I envisioned Godus as 2 games all along" as Molyneux states, and development on Godus Wars is meant to represent continued development of Godus as a single experience. (Though lets me honest, who actually believes that BS?) Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls..... Micro-transactions have hit Godus-PC and 22Cans have even gone against that promise of not charging PC players for content. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=615515357steamcommunity.com/app/422420/discussions/3/405690850601082693/?tscn=1454558163#c405690850602281860

I don't know if I should burst out laughing or start crying. It's one thing too shoot yourself in the foot multiple times... it's another to stab yourself in the head with scissors.

So, let's do the math.
The game costs 14.99 USD. The 2nd continent costs 4.99 USD. There's 7 continents according to the store page.
Assuming there's no other microtransactions (and no discount later on), that's $29.94 of DLC which means it's gonna cost you $44.93 if you want to play the full game.

How do you make the GODUS saga worse? Create a second version of the game and start charging people who thought they bought 100% of the game for their purchase price for DLC.

It's like 22cans is run by a clown-car full of greedy, bumbling cartoon villains, or these guys... Hey 22cans. It didn't work with Godus. It didn't work with Voyages. Stop. Just stop.

Every time you try to give these guys a fair shake...They don't just yank out your arm, they try to toss your entire body in leaving you only your head to yell, "Fuckin' Molyneux!" Dramatics aside, I highly recommend giving that shot a little thumbs up. I believe that raises it to the top of the screenshots shown, which I feel would be very apt for this title now, much like the other screenshots on the old Godus page. which one? or just the lot of'em? Damn the link doesn't work. It was a sarcastic positive review. A most wonderful review indeed. I believe that should work. =)
