Well from reading @petraopaque he wants us each to post a short list of the ones we like and I would assume a shorter list would be complied from them?

I think we need more suggestions in general before thinking about short lists. Also some feedback on the suggestions that have been made so far coming from the team would help us to come up with more and better suggestions.

You are all correct, I do wish to have more names, but feedback is important. When I take the short list to the team at opaque I need a solid reason for all of the name choices. The best chance to have one of your name choices used is :
A) It has to make sense in context for a VR God Game B) It hasn't been used before or we would have to buy the name... C) It is easy to say ( keep in mind ESL people will be using this product) D) You all agree that you would like it.
This game will be in articles, showed in events, have the Opaque Media logo on it and will represent our VR games section. The name is very important to make sure people at least want to try it. With your help we plan to make sure we have the best possible name that users will love. This is an important task, please remember this.

Supreme beings - covers most religions. Conveys total power over other beings.
Deities of virtual space or Supreme beings of virtual space or Overlords of virtual space - all cover other religions. Uses the VR reference. Bring up an image (in my head at least) of going into a world and ruling it.
VR Gods - very straightforward/stating the obvious.

Hey, I am ESL and I have no problems pronouncing nor remembering the names I came up with despite those being in Latin and in Sumerian. I can even provide Japanese transcription for those that doesn't lose much.

I wish I had learned a second language; I blame US Public Education, because it's easier than blaming myself.
I have a short list of some more words to play with for possible names, but I forgot my notebook on my work desk; I left early due to an impending storm - so, tomorrow I'll post them.

is it too late to make suggestions?
I'd like the game to be called "The Orgasmotron"
doesn't matter if its relevant to the game or not, anygame called that is an insta-buy

What @petraopaque is speaking of is two fold, one is actually due diligence, something their legal department is really best to do. It involves making sure the name would be legally viable to use as to not infringe upon others existing rights, or force them to buy use of said rights from the other party. It should be done by an employee of Opaque even if any member or moderator here claims to have already done it. It is what protects their company from any lawsuits or legal issues on use of any names that they might choose to move forward with. In this day and age even FONTS are copyrighted so it could become quite ugly very quickly if they go with a name and later find out the it is partially owned by Hasboro, Disney or even Johnson & Johnson so I understand her request to have members do a quick check for already existing names but it really ultimately will be just that, a pre-check.
The second thing @petraopaque is asking for is for the name to be relatively easy to pronounce for ESL. I am confused as to how somebody who speaks English well enough to buy a game in English would take any issue or be put off in any from a "complex" English based title. But, this is their preference and they so choose to do so because of Marketing reasons.
I like my name I suggested of "Earth Square One" , or even "Petra Square One". I like it because,it is simple but with a bit of a wink and nod and double entendre to it. To the best of my knowledge these were never used before but please note, you will still need due diligence on this. I think it is pretty basic words in the English language and not all that complex or difficult for anyone that is ESL.

Here is a list of all names made in the thread thus far:
If you all would like to copy and pasta and notate your top 3-5 then this could help to create a future Poll.
