I lost it at Loki Poki (I didn't "pick" it, don't stop). Idol Hands are already taken, by the by.
And in case you're not aware, Nirvana is not heaven-like place, as christians imagine it, but pitch-black nothingness of non-existence. Seriously, the goal of Buddhism is to be free of suffering, not to be happy somewhere far above. That's why it's also kinda out.
Most of the other names sound so uninspired and cliché as if they're mobile F2P cash-grab names.
Also, WTH is "League Progenitor"? What League? Why are you a progenitor? How is that connected to a god game?
Good name must reflect the game's main concept. There are too many examples for this to provide specific ones... Or let me mention just one. Memoria. That'll suffice.

Hey guys here are some of the names we've come up with: - Godbox - Sand Pit God - Idol Hands - Virtual Divinity - Progenitor - Pantheon - Might - Godly God - Mighty God - Godly Might - Holy Might - Handsy God - Psalms - Idle Might - Idol Might - Square - In Your Hands - Breadth of Novus - Genesis (we apparently can use it) - Divine Sway - Zion - Godlet - Eternal Playground - Godplay - Goddle - Ba'al - Nirvana - Loki Poki - Loki's Lore - League Progenitor - Seed - Nublings - Magnate / Magnus - Manus - Edifice Our office came up with/selected names that we really liked. Let's pick a name. It's time to pick a name. So is this the final list to choose from? If so, I will make it a poll so people can easily vote on it. Regarding the poll, how many choices should each member be allowed to make? (1, 2, 3, 5, whatever amount) |

The way the polls work is you can select up to a certain number of picks (you can set the number of picks) but you cannot distinguish between picks. So in the end it's a tally of which names were picked the most. You cannot indicate on the poll which one is your number one pick and which is your number two, et cetera. If you want to have that as well then people would have to post about it. A compromise might be to allow people to only vote for 1 name on the poll and let them post about their alternatives. So do you want a poll? |

Hey guys here are some of the names we've come up with: - Godbox (Sounds slightly too minigame collectiony)- Sand Pit God (Er...Sandbox god? This may confuse people into thinking it's more of a simulation toy (e.g. Universe Simulator, Garry's Mod, etc.) than a game with distinct gameplay modes)- Idol Hands (See above.)- Virtual Divinity (This has two potential issues. The first is that Divinity is an established franchise, which may lead to some confusion, and the second is that Virtual may make people think it's exclusively VR and that it may be a light cash-in title surfing the wave of VR releases.)- Progenitor - Pantheon - Might (This literally indicates nothing about the nature of the game.)- Godly God - Mighty God - Godly Might - Holy Might - Handsy God - Psalms (This could lead to a few problems. One is that no one knows what it means, second is that they vaguely know and think it's purely Christian, and third is that it may not localize well.)- Idle Might (See comment on Might, but to add to that with this specific title, Idle would almost make people think you just set the game up and watch it as you tap here and there affecting everything, doesn't necessarily sound too exciting.)- Idol Might - Square (?)- In Your Hands (It's a mouthful, but adding World to this would make more sense of this. As is, it barely indicates anything about the game. World wouldn't help much, but it might be sufficient to at least indicate something to do with world manipulation and thus godliness.)- Breadth of Novus (?)- Genesis (we apparently can use it) - Divine Sway - Zion (Slightly similar problem to Psalms, just this time with Judaism instead.)- Godlet (Sounds too much like a light god game, say for mobile or something. Not terrible, just potentially tonally off.)- Eternal Playground - Godplay (Are you cool with divine foreplay jokes.)- Goddle (I think you're okay with divine foreplay jokes.)- Ba'al - Nirvana - Loki Poki - Loki's Lore (This might lead people to think there's no choice in the deity you play as, and that god powers should be themed more heavily around Loki-style abilities.)- League Progenitor - Seed (?)- Nublings (?)- Magnate / Magnus (?)- Manus - Edifice Our office came up with/selected names that we really liked.
