I would also suggest that echocdelta or @petraopaque would like to Copy and Paste the list and cross out any names on it that would not be acceptable due to the ESL request. This will make the list shorter and help make posters select their picks easier. |

Hey'all, been reading the discussions on here and steam for a while, the Godus Wars steam forums are hilarious, hours of fun! Genesis looks like it could be great, from the name list I really like Might, it's simple and has a duality that signifies the decision making aspect of the game well. For my 2cents(or pence) how about "Vessel", putting a focus on the idol/temple/whatever the physical manifestation of the deity is. And there's just something really cosmic about it in my mind.

It's really the easiest way for the posters. Then when the DEVS are content with a time period for choices, it is fairly easy to jump through lists and pull out the top 10 to put on a Poll for final short list. I will go ahead and remove Vessel. |

Pretty surprised none of us tossed in: Delicious Divinity. Delightfully Divine. It's sort of a 22cans jab, sure, but they're also not the worst names ever...Though the first one puts me more in the mind of a god-themed cooking/baking sim more than the society sim this game seems to be going for. Will have to review the names more carefully before I give my eval of them. Edit: Since I'm waiting on a world to generate at the moment in a game, figured I'd take a moment to do so now. Mostly avoided my own due to conflict of interest (=P). Also morsealworth , idea behind Seers was that they share a similar quality to Prophets (especially in ancient Greek mythos), to whom sometimes divine revelations were imparted, but I thought Prophet would be a little too on the nose, and seers are more well known for their visions anyway, which also fits with the VR idea so...Voila. Cult Clash was mostly tongue-in-cheek, which I think you caught either way. Idol Visions is kind of a poor pun off of the thinking that the game will feature Idols and someone sort of Idly daydreaming what it might be like to be a god or something. Maybe a tad too dry? Probably also wouldn't hold up if that aspect of the game gets switched about anyway, so may be good to put it aside regardless. I'll elaborate my thoughts a little more on whichever names we narrow it down to, since I think it may be more fitting then than as we're narrowing them down, though whichever way may work. |

Gmr Leon , Actually I prefer the numbers farther off to right, so I can pull them out easier when the time comes from multiple threads. (Becomes a huge headache with multiple lists/formats/order). I will edit lists later on to keep in same format when I wake up in a while so no need to worry about doing it yourself. If you are adding any new names to list please state so, so that I can adjust all lists. Names are for Genesis only and please not about Godus in any way... DEVs have requested no affiliation to it. Please let me know if these are meant as serious contenders for Genesis and I will add. For all: Each list should be the same with only the numbers different. I will be adjusting any that have any names missing or added. This is so everyone is picking off SAME list which has all none already existing suggestions on it. Think of the list from my post as a template (same choices, same format, same order). Copy and Paste it and add your numbers after to it. This is a pre-Poll to shorten the list. Think of it as a ballot. You can add your comments to your list if you wish but please put your comments after number choices. Let's keep long detailed commentaries in separate posts as well. Also when picking your picks remember what @petraopaque said about easy to pronounce names for ESL players.
