Does anyone have a decent map of London including transit zoning? Is this what you're looking for? That looks a lot like the one we found, but it doesn't show where stops and stations are located in relation to roads and landmarks. What's the date of our meet-up again? Well, since no-one has really responded, my vote would be for June 28th. That would be a Saturday. I think it makes more sense for me to plan it near the start of our visit to UK rather than near the end of it.

I'll probably be around, just outside London, though have work commitments both those Saturdays, but keep me in the loop. So we aren't storming Guildford then? Where does Peter live

I need to go shopping for a camping trip to the Spanish desert on that morning.

Sure. But I've just had a look at the world cup schedule and it turns out that if Netherlands finish first in their group they might have to play a match on July 5th and if Netherlands finishes second in their group they will play on June 28th. So if Netherlands is playing at the date of our meeting we will naturally have to meet at a place where they show the match. If we don't want the matches to interfere with our meeting we might have to defer to the result of the match Netherlands versus Chili, which incidentally falls on my birthday on June 23rd.

It all sounds good to me. I can get most of my work done before end of USA work day if needed which should not interfere with meet up, worse case scenario I will have my phone on me and it work fine in UK. Anytime after 300pm is good for me on pretty much any day. I don't think we have a problem meeting up during matches so long as game is on where we go. It might be fun to go somewhere and watch a match together?

Wouldn't mind seeing a Holland game though, they're always an entertaining side!

Enjoy the metro system while you're in London, I think it's brilliant. Granted, efficient public transport impresses me easily as I come from a land where your train turning up pretty much depends on how early the oxen were woken up.

It's almost impossible to find a map that shows the genuine path of the tube trains with the overground map superimposed on top, mainly because they tried it and you just can't tell what is going on because the lines run all over the place. Your best bet for wanting to get to places is to look on a standard map & find the nearest tube station, then switch to the underground map and work out how to get to that tube station.

Do it! Taking the train is an awesome way to travel, is eco-friendly and lets you catch up on you Nintendo 3DS or PS Vita games!
The more I think about it, the more I think one evening mid-week would work best for me, however if needs be I'm happy to cancel any personal arrangements outside of work to fit in with you guys.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Holland game though, they're always an entertaining side! I am an American so really very new into this Soccer/Voetball stuff too. I thought it might be a nice environment for people to meet up who don't really know much about each other outside of Godus and yet still friendly. I am totally fine with having a match on or not, but I know if Holland is playing, Ba'al will want to be able to see the match. We are thinking about getting an Oyster card for zones 1-4, I have found out our hotel is in zone 4, does this sound right? I am planning on pre-paying a taxi from Stansted for 38 pounds to hotel and then using the Oyster card to go from hotel in Ilford to St Pancras to take Eurostar to Belgium when we leave. I know flying might be a hair easier and cheaper but I have my heart set on a train trip to Belgium because immigration should be easier for me and I am kinda sick of flying. I am more concerned about travel from Stansted to Ilford and travel from Ilford to St Pancras. The rest is a crapshoot at this point, and that is okay as long as I can connect all the dots that need to be connected to get to next destination.

Having not had a haircut since January, I find myself in need of a good barber. Anyone know of a great London classic barber for a cut and a shave? I'm not looking for one of those hair stylists places but the genuine article.
