Hold on to your hats and horses. Lord Ba'al is coming to UK. Prepare to be subjugated by the almighty forces of your all powerful god. Seriously though. Qetesh and I will be in UK from 26th of June till July 8th. We'll be staying somewhere around London in a place called Ilsford. I figure if any of you also happen to be in the neighbourhood at that time it might be cool to meet up for a drink. Who's with us? Just dare to defy your lord by saying no.

I am on board to meet anyone, I doubt I will actually talk much as Godus itself. I feel that is at a holding point to see what happens with eventual finished game. I have never been to UK and hope to get to see some cool stuff but really I will be oh so glad to be back in a country where people speak English as their mother tongue for awhile till we head back to Netherlands in July. Any suggestions from anyone in Ilsford area?

Ilford? Isn't that in Essex? Come to central and lets go out for drinks - maybe around the Stratford area would suit you best? Here, check this out: www.ilford.org.uk/faq.

TBH, I used Hotwire and just took the cheapest acceptable number of stars I could find. I will Google that to see where it all is. It looks to be North East of London main area? I will check out that link, as long as we can figure out how to get there we are good to go. A nice cold pint of beer in a real British pub sounds awesome.

I've never been to UK before so I am unfamiliar with all the territories. To me Essex might as well be Wales. By the way, I'd rather have a scotch than a pint. But we'll see what we can get.

If it's not on the Tube, it doesn't really count as being properly London, IMHO (sorry Croydon!).

The tube is the London Underground network (i.e. the subway or metro, depending on your local definition), the trains are the Overground, which is just your regular railway service.

Well maybe I will. But I'm a bit scared we're gonna end up with a massive angry mob the likes of which would scare football hooligans off. Okay since you asked nicely I shall.

Ehm... Monkeythumbz... I just made that thread but I'm wondering if it isn't against steam forum rules, since those tend to be so damn strict and vague. I think if Muir finds out he will ban me. He already gets pissed off if you try to lighten the mood with a harmless little song.

Ah, okay, so we have to figure out a train that will take us to Stratford area or close enough to get on Tube or taxi?

Ah, okay, so we have to figure out a train that will take us to Stratford area or close enough to get on Tube or taxi? Take a train to the nearest Tube station and then go from there - taxis in and around the London area are hideously expensive. There should be info in the FAQ i linked to above. And Stratford was just a suggestion. If you want somewhere with a bit of character, I suggest Portobello (Notting Hill, Central line), Camden (Camden Town, Northern line) or Shoreditch (Old Street, Northern line). It all depends on what time of day and what day of the week we meet up. Once that's sorted and we have numbers, I'd be happy to book us a table somewhere.

I'd love to meet up with you guys, but I'm in Cambridge so it would be a bit of a mission. Let me know if you have any intention of visiting Cambridge while you're here, though!

Sounds good, now my next deed is to buy the airfare there. LOL. I think I had better book it today since hotel is non refundable and pre-paid. I was debating on taking a train back to NL.
