Gee I don't know. I believe there was also someone on steam who expressed interest. I would prefer not to change the date/time on him. Perhaps we can meet at 6 and Jack can join us later? I get the feeling you don't want to stay that long though. I can stay from 6pm - 9pm, or at least that's the plan! Lets keep things as is and I'll let Jack know. Btw, I won't be checking the forum from about 5pm onwards today, so if you need to reach me, by all means drop me a text

If you and Jack have an idea for another date and time you are of course free to suggest. But for now I shall assume that we'll meet you at Camden station at about 6pm. Is there any particular place at the station that is easily recognizable? Does it have a front and back?

Feel free to pass my contact info along to Jack so he can reach us if he wants to. Speaking of contact info, do you have a way to reach Arantor, Digital Jam or Mrdrpink? Those were the people who said they might be interested in coming on the steam thread.

I don't think PM'ing is possible on Steam so I left a message on the board there to contact Qetesh through PM on this board.

Thanks Casinha! So I've been skimming through the thread and I've noted Crumpy Six, muumipeikko, rubgish and jpw as people who still might be interested in showing up tomorrow. I know muumipeikko said he probably couldn't make it which is probably a polite way of saying he's definitely not coming but I'll interpret it as a maybe anyway. Those of you that think they will be coming, please contact Qetesh via private message if you want to swap contact details. (you may PM me but I don't have a smartphone and I'll likely be out the door for most of the day tomorrow) Or at the very least drop a message on this thread if you are coming so we know to wait for you at Camden station.

So the meeting happened. It ended up being just Qetesh and me and George. Later on Jack also popped by. It was fun. We talked and had drinks.

Despite the low turn out, sounds like a great time.
So, any juicy tidbits or salacious stories to share, or just a quick rundown of the interesting topics?

It was great fun. I would totally meet up with anyone else while here if they wanted too. We are here till July 8th, so pretty much available till July 7th. We talked about the settlement stuff, and it sounded interesting enough to me, that once they are implemented I am going to try the game again. Now, the oddest thing for me I had a dream about Godus last night. I guess if you add cocktails and talking about a video game together you get a dream about said video game that night. LOL. In my dream a storm happened but after a few seconds it turned to SNOW! My followers started going crazy and one of them yelled at a group of some and then the group started to knit little sweaters. When done my followers all had little sweaters on and again after a few minutes of watching them shiver another one yelled at another group. That group started knocking down some houses and then proceeded to build a giant igloo and camp fire in front of it. Once it was built, my followers all did a happy dance and then went into the igloo. After a bit, the sun came out and it melted my giant igloo and my followers all started to cry. Eventually one yelled at another group and they built the regular houses and all went back to normal. I highly doubt they could ever implement something like that, but I did wake up thinking that, that would be a way to really cool way to add some humor and tongue in cheek to the game. Or perhaps I should just avoid spicy food and vodka when mixing with Godus?

You do have a vivid imagination.
We talked about our feelings as backers throughout the course of the development and George listened intently.

Glad to hear that you guys finally managed to get together! We should definitely plan for something again at some point in the future. Maybe I'll even manage to pop in for one of these.

Start working the financial department to get them to authorize a community management business trip to Holland. It seems there are plenty of Dutch people on the boards who might be up for a meeting. Plus, well, you know... Amsterdam.

Tomorrow marks the official end of our stay in UK. In the morning a taxi shall take us to St. Pancras where we'll wait for a speedy chariot to whisk us away to the European mainland. We'll be travelling/waiting for most of the day. We've enjoyed our brief stay here and hope we can come back some day. Farewell UK!

Well I'm sorry UK but it looks like we'll be coming back to bother you once again. And this time you won't be rid of us so easily.
I've had a job offer from a company in Belfast and I'm also at an advanced stage with an application for a job in Brighton. So I don't know where I'm going just yet or when exactly I'll be arriving.
However, full packing mode: engaged!

I'm sure Belfast is great, but I'd plump for Brighton! Brilliant city. Let us know how it pans out.

This is also the beginning of the end of our long distance part of our relationship. Now that Ba'al will have a job we can use the EU freedom of movement for workers law to bring me over and get both a family permit then a residence card which comes along with a work permit, yeah, it will be nice to be able to keep my feet in one country for more than a few months and grab a job that actually gives out paychecks for the work you do.
I really wish this Brighton job would make their decision soon, I just would love to know where we will be living.
