Out of these for me Settlers takes the cake. Even though I've only ever really played the original settlers and Settlers 6. Never played the in between ones. Tried 7 for a wee little bit but it didn't seem to grasp me.

Never played the The Settlers titles before, but they look a little like Cultures - a lot actually - which was repetitive and uninspiring after completing the first few villages. I've likened some of Godus' gameplay to it, except Cultures has sensible mechanics and resources.

There's some kind of Mutator deal going on at GOG right now. It seems that a bunch of games are 85% off and if you select 3 of them you unlock the option to get up to 3 mystery games for 1,29 GBP each. You don't know what those games would be though. Don't ask me why these prices are in pounds. www.gog.com/mutator

Ah, Banished finally got low enough for me to warrant buying it. Sweet.
Yeah, they're not always super discount prices - they save those for the Summer/Winter sales. Speaking of which, we're fast approaching the holiday season, so there will be more chances for deep discounts in just two months time; start saving those pennies now!

I saw an image of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis pop up on my news feed and nearly fell out of my chair. Seems that GOG.com is bringing back some old LucasArts classics. My love for Fate of Atlantis and Monkey Island cannot be overstated. Seriously. Just try to overstate it. I bet you can't. A handful of these have been available on Steam for some time now, but the real news is that Star Wars: X-Wing Special Edition and Star Wars: TIE Fighter Special Edition are getting released on GOG.com, two games that are not available on Steam and are some true classics. A comment on that article sums up X-Wing just fine: "I remember the first time I figured out I could not only change my laser shot pattern, but also the orientation of my shields I was speechless for the next fifteen minutes. Then I found out you could change the Engines/Lasers/Shields levels, and wondered if I'd somehow peeked behind the curtain and seen the face of god." See here for the full article.

Yes, I just find GOG prices too excessive for what it is/represents. Some games have sometimes 10 years of difference, and they're at the same price, I don't understand... Nice link by the way.

Lone Survivor and Knock-knock are worth it, at least. Assuming you don't already have System Shock 2. Deadly Premonition's goofier than it is creepy, if you ask me, but that makes it a fun B-movie-esque horror game.

Good to know. System Shock isn't really my kind of game. "I HAVE NO MOUTH AND I MUST SCREAM", is pretty eerie for what it is, with great atmosphere and story - if you like Point-&-Click games. But Phantasmagoria is just kinda lame, with clunky story full of cheap scares and bad acting; although it was original for it's live-action format, it's a fairly forgettable game.
Lone Survivor is actually on Steam's Halloween Sale for $3.74 ...
Think I just might.

I try to resist, and usually I'm pretty good at it; but $4 for a game isn't bad. Now the question is, "when will I ever actually play them?" lol.
