Well, I think we all know it isn't your fault. The only thing you ever done wrong is getting hired by 22Cans, which I already wrote about. And you're doing your work admirably and if you had ability to convey feedback efficiently (without problems at, er, receiving side), you maybe even could save the situation. But the guys above you made it so that nothing will save the situation less than an orbital bombardment and I'm out of space stations. So yeah, your job is something we don't like since it makes to dance on our memorial service, but at least I like you. Well said. I think we all understand that this is probably more distressing for 22cans staff than for us. Nobody in this community believed in peter anymore but it's possible some people at 22cans still did. Or the staff is thinking thank god there are signs of abandoning this sinking ship coz they might have a better chance of success if they started on something new.

Perhaps, but I doubt they dedicated 2 years of their life to produce what Godus is today. Just reading between the lines I don't they did it just for the pay check. They would have believed too and hoped for something to be proud off. But your right maybe that thinking leads to an acceptance that it is time to cut your loses.

Sorry I'm coming to this a little late I think.
Trial? Someone has started litigation over Godus?

It's actually "The Trail", AFAIK - I think somebody misspelled it on Twitter and it snowballed from there.

Do you ever get the feeling that Peter just likes to throw you live grenades from time and expects everyone else to handle the chaos that follows? I hope you lot are paid well to deal with this kind of crap.
Also on the topic of Peter being surprised that people expected him to make what he promised didn't he say in interviews while his Kickstarter was running that he was looking forward to being held to account for his promises and be made to fulfil them? (I can't remember where he said it and to be honest I cannot be arsed to go trawling for it either)

That information might be in one of the videos that I transcribed. I know I haven't done all of them but after a certain point I just couldn't be arsed.

As I recall he actually said the very opposite. That he was glad to be indie because now he would NOT need to answer to anyone and meet deadlines but could completely focus on his "creative vision".

Alas after an hour of searching I've yet to turn anything up to support what I thought I'd read. I don't know if it is out there or not. Ironically though I did find some articles where he promised not to over-promise this time... One such example below. www.p4rgaming.com/peter-molyneux-breaks-down-into-tears-again-after-realizing-he-can-no-longer-make-good-games/I'll try and have another look this evening but at the end of the day its not like it'll change anything. Peter has gone back on his word more times than I care to count and I doubt many people outside of this family and his employees really have much faith left in it. After looking at the articles that I've scanned through, I'm not angry or upset with Peter, I pity him because he's become so incredibly pathetic over the last decade. He tries to be a blue sky thinker but the sky he's starting at is on another planet. I don't know how he's going to fund The Trail but I'm sure he knows that he has fully burnt his bridges with crowdfunding and early access. Maybe he'll call on the "old boys" network and get it published through one of his friends. Who knows, who cares. I hope everyone here is able to tone down their anger towards him and like me, realise just how pitiful and pathetic a once great developer has become. That being said, somehow he's able to ensnare enough gamers to keep himself above water. More the fool us I guess. Anyway! Enough of my rambling

The silly thing is that Godus would actually have been a great game... If he hadn't tied himself down to some ideological concept of bringing the casual mobile crowd and the core gamer crowd together in some perfect creation.

That sad thing is that Games like WoW already do it with out even really trying. You have the hardcore, raiders, playing beside the casual players all the time. Now they may not play well together on the forums, but that will never happen.
Also I think Peter will be in for a rude awaking, when his game with no communications spawns a forum some where that has the hardcores and the casuals going at it. That is if he even notices that a forum pops up about it. He could create the greatest game in the world and not a word could be said in game but I guarantee a forum will pop up some where, where people will complain and fight over something in the game. But maybe he does not really care what happens out side the game, but with all his talk about there being to much social in social media he can not discount communications out side the game.

People talk, at the end of the day we're herd animals. We socialize and communicate. Even when we suck at it.

"The run" (Godus making) 's not yet finished. What s there are just mechanics, not a game, with a story and all of that... so, no conclusion can be drawn too early I'd say.
