But have you actually messaged them and asked to be unbanned? I'm not trying to be pedantic or obtuse here, just think that your voice is going to be needed on the forums. I'm not sure what difference there is between asking publicly or through PM unless they'd like for me to ask repeatedly, and anything I would post would be within the fenced-off area of "Off-Topic" or "Mobile" - just like how 22cans marginalises any other feedback besides what they want on the Combat show of "Godus isn't dead" while their studio really focuses upon The Trail. That is quite evident by their new article in how simon22cans shits all over Godus backers/buyers with hyperbole and marginalisation (or outright ignoring, for those Kickstarter folks) while pretending to give a damn about anything other than preying upon the situation for his own personal benefit (and possibly, really, to make Peter feel better).

I could even do it for you. Simon seems only interested in collecting his salary and "managing" 22Cans into the ground before fleeing from the mess like he did at his last two shovelware companies.

Again, with the new forum restructure (excuses pending, may take up to a week if history is anything to go by) all I would be posting upon is the Off Topic and Mobile forums as 22cans intends to marginalise those who actually could see something possible come from this title other than a vehicle for mobile microtransactions but haven't fallen for the mis-labeled description wherever 22cans are currently flogging Godus on sale.
Everything unfavourable that doesn't fit in 22cans' diseased narrative will be shunted off to the Behind the Couch forum like they've tried previously, but now they're having little pretense at the "Fuck you!" signals they're sending to the Steam-savvy, who check the discussion forums before buying a game.

Alright, so if Colin refuses to reverse the censorship on the Steam forums, it'll be a non-issue. Like I said, just wanted to make sure we were exploring all our options, especially since the value of having you there necessitates me asking. One other thing to note is the lack of community inclusion. No advanced notification that the forum would be changing, no debate as to which sub forums should be made viewable to the public, or should be locked down to owners of the game. So much for this new open development, and inclusion of the community that was promised, just looks like the same old s**t to me, I see absolutely no evidence that anything at 22 cans has changed at all, I was willing to give them a chance with the changing of the guard, looks like I shouldn't have bothered.

Is he not allowed to be online? If he has time to censor the life out of the Steam forums, as described below, One other thing to note is the lack of community inclusion. I don't know what's in his job description and frankly don't care, but I'm pretty sure there is nothing in it about reading and responding to every forum post anywhere.

Well, that does bring up a curious point. What kind of responses are they actually paying attention to, if any at all? That whole bit that speaks that 22cans just don't give a shit and so have made their hyperbole about "thousands" and "99%" to conveniently marginalise 22cans' scam victims - again. Back to status quo of what led up to "The Shit".

If they've literally been online longer than any other member yesterday, why aren't they reading any posts? And if they're reading any posts, why haven't they explained why they nuked the Steam forums and the bizarre contradictions between what 22Cans tells the media and what 22Cans tells us? Lots of questions and nobody to answer them, except for the PR guy. Hmmmmmm, godus.boards.net/members + CTRL F "Member Online".

Lots of questions and nobody to answer them, except for the PR guy. Hmmmmmm, godus.boards.net/members + CTRL F "Member Online". To be entirely fair to colin22cans, I think his hands are tied. He might be finding himself in the same position as every other PR/CM fellow around this game in the past - caught between a community that feels betrayed, defrauded, and neglected/insulted at times...with on the other side the company bureaucracy that decides what he can or can't do. He's expected to be the man caught in this mess and may wish that there was more he could offer, but can't. Just like I think there might be a misconception about simon22cans job. Many think a CEO can change company policy, when he might be just as bound as Colin in a limited functionary role, unable really to do anything but act as company cheerleader and similarly helpless to do anything. So...I have to admit that a lot of my criticisms may have been aimed at the wrong people, as they might just simply be more meat thrown into the grinder like many others at 22cans have been, sacrificed for some ulterior purpose. If this is indeed the case, I apologise.

I don't really share your sympathies. It was their choice to take this job. Considering the state 22Cans is in, I doubt they aren't getting more than enough money for their trouble. That or no one else would even consider taking their jobs. Either way, there doesn't seem to be an upside for us.

I don't care if 22Cans is supposed to be Colin's break into the gaming industry, I don't care if 22Cans were the only ones willing to hire Simon after his last two shovelware companies were run into the ground, the fact of the matter is that they chose to work for 22Cans and were apparently aware of the company's practices prior to making that choice.

I'm starting to get really sick of this witch hunt. Well, looks like most of the troublemakers are gone now. Fine, I'll stop posting as well (not deleting my account and I'll probably still lurk a bit) because, there's nothing positive to say and the person that could influence a change is sitting on his ass and basically flipping the finger on everyone who has something negative to say over 22cans & godus, or just ignores everything. Me taking a break is probably for the best because sooner or later I'll snap and tell colin to take a cactus and stick it somewhere unpleasant, or worse and force Lord Ba'al to ban someone for the first time. colin22cans likes this Anyhow. Lets see what happens in 'paradise'. I'll probably return when something changes with Godus for the better or worse but I'm not optimistic. Good luck and see you in the next shitstorm. p.s. My frustrations don't lie with Lord Ba'al's decision to mop up as he has every right to. It's just that my current mindset doesn't grind well with the forums atm, so I'll stop hitting a deaf wall for now, because it's somewhat tiring for me as well.

Well I'm glad you're not leaving and of course I respect your decision. I honestly think that with a little cooperation we might start seeing some small changes for the better. But regardless we will still keep pointing out anything that needs to be pointed out, whether it is positive or not. It is up to 22cans to make sure that there is nothing negative to point out to them. Some people seem to think that we're trying to steer this board into a positive only place but that is not the case. I simply think that there is no point in stifling all discussion by hammering on the same points over and over and over again while it is apparent that no response will ever come if it is handled in that manner. In any case, I look forward to your return when you feel the time is right.
