All part of their plan no doubt, their censoring effort continues unabated.

And now we have a return to the good old days of unjustified bannings, just because they dare to point out your unethical censorship, and probable falsification of customer appreciation, oh 22 cans, you never cease to amaze me the depth to which you are willing to lower your standards, which mod went power tripping this time? anyone want to place some bets.

I was not allowed to call someone's thoughts about how great Godus is, a delusion A personal insult apparently. FWIW

Its always funny watching the Steam mods get ban happy when they can't form a coherent counter argument.

The thread was closed for flame baiting. Not sure how this reflects on my permanent ban. I don't think I care. It would be funny to know though.

Sad thing is we have told them so many times how they could handle this better, i'm not going to waste my time telling them yet again.
They are hopeless, a lost cause. They obviously dont care. Which is symptomatic of the entire 22 cans don't give a fuck attitude.

Are they sure they didn't mean to double ban the OP, not those responding...? The thread was locked for being obvious flamebait, so I'm not sure what those responding did that was so bad...

Maybe a sub-forum rename is on order... Something along the lines of: "Smeg-heads pretending dead game isn't dead will place your help request here. They have your money, now bugger off." Then again, we just might be in the throws of one of 22Cans patented 2 Month long holiday sprint sessions where the Guildford Studio is manned entirely by two Cymbal Monkeys and a Parakeet.

There's actually some truth to it, though not how you probably expect. Nearing the end of the year some, like Cybergrim, may take up all their saved up holidays. The company itself is still going as always of course, but with Cybergrim on holidays, QA would slow down during that time. I keep bringing up bug threads like these in the community team so they'll get to them as soon as they can, I'm sure. Sorry it's taking so long, but I can't really fault someone for using the holidays they're entitled to either.

We have a really interesting saying here in work....perhaps its native and localised to my part of the world but it does seem to be appropriate in certain situations. Roughly translated it would read....oh and I'm not directing it at anyone in particular....just simply saying 'Perhaps one should go take ones mouth for a shite!'

If they don't put something meaningful out this year it means they will have achieved precisely nothing in an entire year. Also, if what you say is true they can't put a major update out now this late in the year because they won't have the resource to "hot fix" (ROFL - 22Cans hot fix) any issues. This situation is absurd.

I comes as no surprise that the value of a simple "QA is out on holiday, we expect them back on X day, and they will get back to you then." response to their posts is completely lost on any of you. After all, these seem like people that 22Cans has yet to piss off, right? That said, I'd wager that Mobile QA is being attended to accordingly in his absence. *wink

That said, I'd wager that Mobile QA is being attended to accordingly in his absence. *wink I'm not sure its the holidays that are the issue. Its the inability to actually produce and release updates to the game. They very rarely produce updates designed to fix bugs (who knows when the last one of those was? or how many there have been this year? Bugger all I bet) and there have been no substantive content releases that I can think of this year. Even when (if?) the combat release they have been designing and developing since November last year hits, my bet is that they wont have the support available to troubleshoot and release patches for any issues. If its March next year you will therefore see the same non-communicative behaviour exhibit despite GODUS apparently have all the resources it needs.
The game has been in early access for over two years. Before that they were working on it for what must have been over a year already. Over 9 months ago Peter said:
“My hope is that in six to nine months time, people start to finally see the game they really did pledge for. That will be two to three years into development but that’s kind of what it takes when you do an original game. I wish it didn’t. Up until mid January, every single moment of this company was dedicated to Godus.” www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/feb/13/peter-molyneux-game-designer-interview-godus
Oh and while we are on it what has Bryan Henderson got since those articles in February? Has 22Cans paid him any money? Has he received any benefit at all.
This is outrageous. 22Cans like to pretend they are going as fast as they possibly can and yet somehow they manage to develop games at the slowest pace imaginable. This really is comparable to Duke Nukem Forever in terms of the development pace.
22Cans how about you set some meaningful deadlines and actually apply the resources to meet them. Clearly combat, which by the way is a minor addition to the game compared to what was promised, was due to be out by now. We want you to finish it so you can move on to developing stuff that matters like animals, proper agriculture and a decent resource system.
I realise this may demoralise you and seem negative but you can only go so long without delivering anything nor presenting a plan for delivering what was promised before people accuse you of being a fraud.

And while I'm ranting, it pisses me off that they've spent GODUS money developing everything other than PC GODUS. First it was mobile GODUS and then as soon as they were done with that the money was diverted to Be-Trail. If they'd just worked on GODUS as a PC title we could have made some progress over the last three years.
