The Trail turns out to be an exit strategy for most of 22cans Sort of a Developer's Underground Railroad?

Best quote is first quote; "Hello my pathological liars" I chuckled, but to be fair, RPS never called him a pathalogical liar, they simply asked him if he was.

I think it was posted in the reviews thread. I just viewed it this morning, and Nerd3 does not hold back or go easy; he says what he thinks, straight to the point. That reaction is important for 22Cans to note, because its likely going to be close to the experience and opinion of most players.

dont know if this got already posted : I hope 22Cans pays attention to videos like this. This is a really representative example of how Godus Wars looks and feels when you play it through for the first time.

I have to disagree with the final verdict. It's not ugly.

Not ugly. But its not particularly impressive either. The original black and white games had better 3d graphics and thats over a decade ago, also from dust looks way better than godus which were both released around the same time.
Godus looks the way it does for one reason only, not because they have a unique art style they want to promote. The actual reason it looks the way it does is so that it will work on mobiles where processing power is limited, this is the real reason for the low poly count objects.

Not the UI as much, but the base game itself? It may be low poly and low detail, but there's something to its style that drew me to it, even if it was for cheap reasons. I like to think that the artists still tried to make the best of it, given their circumstances.

The art style was one of the draws for me, you can tell that the artists are trying to maintain some semblance of congruity, but it's gotta be difficult given the meandering overall design.

The art team behind Godus originally did an amazing quality of work. Even the gradients on their buildings to circumvent a lack of lighting in the game, but to still convey depth or tone, was fantastic. If Godus wasn't a for-mobile title, it would have looked really great.

I am personally not too bothered with the way things look as opposed to the way the game plays. But I think the graphics in godus are charming and they're the best "feature" of the game. I wish they were the worst though.

I couldn't find that post, looks deleted as if the Whitewash Patrol and Former CM/PR visit the 22cans forums more than anyone who really works there. But I did find this:

This inspired me to take a wander back down memory lane to when we were all bright-eyed and idealistic about 22Scams and I realised something. Aynen and Muir have been peddling this bullshit under one name or another (less we forget that Augur pseudonym nonsense) for about 3 years now...
On that note, does anyone ever miss (or remember) Umbra?

Aynen and Muir's loyalty has outlasted any paid member of staff and any ordinary fan of the game. It is a gift. The gift of being completely unadulterated by critical thought, and to never feel the burden of a questioning mind.
Sorry. This is mean. But I continue to be astounded by their continued insistence that 22Cans are a great company who love the community that funded them and are making enormous efforts to right to perceived wrongs of the past. And Godus is great and there are millions of incredible and wonderful surprises on the way. Good lord. Is anyone expected to swallow this tripe? Well.. anyone other than Aynen and Muir?

No one visits the official forums, not even to delete posts. The thread in question is in the exclusive backer forums

Yet another abandonment likely due to Mr. Simon-Bob Business-Pants lopping off any efforts that aren't directly tied to maintaining current revenue, developing additional revenue, or preventing revenue loss (yes, 22cans seems oblivious to the effects of negative community relations). I'm sure they'll be give a top notch effort on their shiny new Trail forums once it hits the market.
Just a guess, but I'd wager most time spent on any of the forums by 22cans staff is done on personal time.
