That is really depressingly bad. Try comparing it to another low-budget indy game in Early Access: Don't Starve Together. Edit: I wonder how many of that handful of Godus players are actually actively playing the game, and how many just habitually leave it running in the background and don't really interact with it?

Interestingly, there was only a period of about 3 days (when Godus Wars was released) that it had more players than Godus.

Of course no one is playing Godus Wars... the self entitled, whiny player based forced 22Cans to remove the key element of what made Godus Wars intriguing in the first place, with their whiny player base entitlements. What was this key element you may ask? Why, the "Give-22Cans-Monies-For-Absolutely-No-Reason Simulator", of course. Shame on us all!

I believe this is the proper place to ask questions, without disgrace. A beacon of expansion is what I needed most, but in my quest to find it I found a mere ghost. Behold: m.imgur.com/hVvD3Ut

I see a lot of people bitching about the art style. Me, I don't mind it at all.

And because of this I spent the past hour and a half reading up on Civ VI.

Looks like Civ:Rev to me. /shrug True, but simple graphics doesn't necessarily equal simple gameplay. I have to try and not preorder this one. I keep telling myself - I will not preorder civ6.

Same here. It was a total surprise that this was even in development, to me. My hand has hovered over the "buy" button several times since the announcement - but I just can't. We've talked about this before, and I just can't justify it, personally, for reasons also previously mentioned. For such a large and beloved franchise, it's tempting, but I must stand firm. Heck, I still have many unplayed campaigns in Civ5 to still experience. As for the graphics, looks pretty sweet to me - but then again, I prefer more classic/retro graphics anyhow, especially for this type of game; realistic is best for FPS and RPG games, but not necessary in strategy, in my opinion.

I really enjoyed Civ5. I skipped Beyond Earth (although I will probably pick it up on a super cheap sale some time, i.e. 75% off it will happen eventually). Civ6, I will not be pre-ordering, but will probably buy at something like a 40% sale 6 months after release - assuming reviews (including from my friends) say its not terrible.

I'm not quite sure what to make of these numbers, but: steamspy.com/app/422420according to this, as of yesterday (6/22), in the past 11 days the # of owners of Godus Wars has gone down 20,000 (from 315K on the 11th to 294K on the 22nd).

Well, that's... odd. Refunds?

actually I'm looking at some other games... There's lots that have pretty large dips. I don't think they could possibly all be chalked up to refunds. It must be something to do w/the samples / margin of error. There's probably a better way to represent the #s that doesn't suggest 20K refunds over a few days (unless that actually is the case)

For example, Sunless Sea – while this is most definitely not a game for everyone, and I would expect some refunds, going from ~350K on 6/12 steadily downwards to ~314K on 6/18... There's absolutely no way that many people asked for refunds over that time. Hmm. Hmmmmm...

It should be pulled from sale. If the developer is unwilling to say "we are still actively developing this game" then Steam should pull the game. Early Access is broken and it's a black stain on Valve.

Those fluctuations in data certainly seem too drastic, since they appear to affect multiple title, to be simple margin of error or a sudden demand of refunds. Could it be just bad data collection, maybe erroneous sales reports, or perhaps large purchases through digital distributors with sell-backs of unsold merch?
