As of yesterday, Mandrake, Mindless and Hardly took to the steam forums and practically bullied one of our newer members for liking the game. Just because someone likes the game doesn’t make them a troll, just because some disagrees with your opinion doesn’t mean you can hurl abuse at them. Bullying is completely unacceptable and downright shameful in any culture. This is something that we will not stand for. Bullshit, The poster couldn't understand why we would have issues with the game that he was apparently enjoying, and so we provided him with evidence to support our position. I never once insulted or abused the guy nor implied that he was a troll, and its convenient that you have deleted all my posts so that no one can go back and look through to see the truth. You also say that I have been warned in the past, that is an outragous lie, i've never been warned before, i've never been temp banned before, You are a liar. Go ahead and undelete my posts and show everyone where I abused this guy, you cant do it can you, because I never did, so fuck you sir, fuck you alot. The post which I got banned for was me actually agreeing with the OP, it was he who recommended using the glitch approach to bypass your boring tutorial section, he even provided a youtube video showing how to execute the exploit. I was literally agreeing with him, so its hilarious that you would use that post as justification to perma-ban me. |

This all reminds me of the time GK (who apologised after the fact I'll add) tried to shut down a thread when it was announced about the iOS release by blowing a comment by one member out of proportion. If you (the mods) desire to claim evidence for your case maybe then you shouldn't delete it as all it does is come across as suspect...

When you've been around some of the Early Access dirt merchants for a while...there are certain PR tricks you know to look for and defuse, and some of them are variants of what Electronic Arts tried in the 80s and 90s. This was obviously one of them. I was noticing the delete&libel game being played, so I turned on the archiving. |

distraction, they don't want discussion on the forums, they just want it completely empty, except for the occasional time when they get their sock puppets to come on in and post fake positive articles about the game. Obviously we were a huge thorn in their sides, with us easily laying waste to their spin campaign, so they needed to find a way to remove us from the equation, no matter how lame the reason might be. But I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined they would lie about us, fabricating a narrative about us that is entirely fictional with no basis in reality, and then try to cover their tracks by deleting all the evidence that could prove our innocence. That crosses the line into total scum bag territory. They may have finally silenced some of us on their forums, but they have also forever shown their true colours for the world to see, which is that they are not above using deciept and treachery just to try to make themselves look good, in an attempt to scam would be customers into making an uninformed purchase.

Aynen and muir, I know there have been longstanding disagreements between yourselves and the community as to what is appropriate for managing the forums, but this really does seem extreme and unjustified. Never thought I'd see the day TikiGod got handed a ban... especially considering how helpful and evenhanded he's been. Guess 22cans missed those "how to win friends and influence people" seminars....
While I agree the forums just kinda dog-piled on that "new guy" *coughcough, that was far from bullying (unless I missed a post or two that have been deleted), and whoever did the banning etc should feel silly for stretching their "waaaarrrghghgh we am getting bulliedzorz!!! whaaaaarggghghg" narrative so far. If they are genuine, great... if not, it really is akin to "crying wolf" and they are doing a great injustice to those who have lived through or are living through bullying. Having a civil discussion regarding alternate views is anything but, in my opinion...
P.S. Is it just me, or does Dave sound more and more like PM as time goes by?

When you need to hide which post you're banning someone for, ban them for a completely unrelated one! It is rather curious how the moderators (particularly Aynen) show up around the same time as their pet troll Fraggle, then at the same time the moderators ban me for calling someone else a troll (for obviously seeking pleasure in making others irate, as obvious in their post) while doing nothing about the blanket usage of the same thing being used by this new fellow (Zombie) who claims thjat the mobile and PC versions are different. Hardly, Tikigod, and myself all banned with a thread seriously pruned so they can censor towards their favourable narrative. Care to restore it, or shall I start providing archival copies, 22cans? Still using those fake rules to selectively enforce, I see... What the fuck I'm banned? Anyone got a copy of my post or did that get deleted? Ridiculous the last post I wrote last night was really really polite and I was genuinely saying live and let live. If I've been banned I will be taking this further because it's outrageous. |

I wished him well, said it was great that he liked it and asked him to please not call us impatient what not. It was very polite and civil. How is that ban worthy? Yes I called him in a troll in an earlier post but that was because he rolled a whole bunch of insults into an earlier post. You are out of your mind if you think this is ban worthy and if you don't recind it immediately I will be taking this to the actual steam support and we will see what happens. If calling someone a "troll" is ban worthy in any context you really have no clue. |
