When you need to hide which post you're banning someone for, ban them for a completely unrelated one! It is rather curious how the moderators (particularly Aynen) show up around the same time as their pet troll Fraggle, then at the same time the moderators ban me for calling someone else a troll (for obviously seeking pleasure in making others irate, as obvious in their post) while doing nothing about the blanket usage of the same thing being used by this new fellow (Zombie) who claims that the mobile and PC versions are different. Hardly, Tikigod, and myself all banned with a thread seriously pruned so they can censor towards their favourable narrative. Care to restore it, or shall I start providing archival copies, 22cans? Still using those fake rules to selectively enforce, I see...

Looks like I've gone and stepped over the line, and have received a permanent ban (not even a temp ban, just bam, straight to permanent) I guess I must have said something so outright evil that even the devil himself must have been offended, even though to my knoledge i've never been warned before by a single moderator, so here is another one to chalk up as yet another PR fail. Sorry I wont be able to join in the discussions anymore, but whatever, I didn't really feel we were getting anywhere anyway on the steam forums anyway. Would love to know which post of mine tipped me over the edge, as i'm pretty sure I didn't do anything wrong (other than point out the obvious relationship between the fragglerock and the moderators, guess I hit a little too close to home with that one)

I find it a bit convenient that the one you could be replying to was...really doing what you were banned for, hardly. Then I get banned for conveniently pointing this out. This is calling someone a troll...even though I just pointed out that they were...yeah... And here is where I pointed out that what this fellow was claiming and what 22cans said didn't even begin to match up, so one of them is obviously not telling the truth. So yes, now it appears that 22cans are bringing in people to troll their critics to find spurious reasons to ban them...even if they are just replying to the trolls. Just when you thought that they couldn't get any lower than hiding discussions into "Off Topic" subforums, there they go! 22cans' PR Policy: When at rock bottom - DIG!

I just spotted the moderators reason for giving me the perma-ban LOL, like thats a valid reason for a ban, pointing out he needs to use an exploit to skip the tutorial. Thats not ban worthy, thats pointing out the truth. Whatever, screw those jokers. And just for the record, I've never been warned at all, so the moderators are liars as well.

Chances are, your ban reasons are just as much of an arsepull as the reasons given to me. They might even be able to link to the post they think is in violation of their fake "Steam rules". Edit: There you go, and...wow, yeah. Someone went up to the elbow on yours.

PROTIP: Rage moderation is really obvious when you delete otherwise perfectly good posts that are quoted numerous times in the thread. Or purge all of someone's posts from a forum in obvious pettiness.

Wow so there is a mass banning going on, this is censorship on a scale i've never been witness to before, it's actually shocking to see. What's the total head count so far?

Others have said it before, they could send a friendly private message to back off, then ban. It does the company and mods no favours to act like this. I've said it before, if the OP is clear and said I only want to hear game positives and stick to gameplay descriptions not company performance, they may get a response of "I liked the Sculpting" but for the majority they would show their position by their silence. I may even experiment with putting a thread on there myself. They(22cans) have made no attempt at positive threads on steam in a long while (I'm not talking about daily updates).

muir, Aynen, mrdrpink... you're a group of completely pathetic jobsworths. Wonder how long they tally up my warnings and ban me

This is bizarre. Maybe they decided "screw it" and just did a massive purge.

jesus christ.
... I'm just disappointed neither of you were banned for things you posted in the "Banning the community" thread. That would have been delicious.

They(22cans) have made no attempt at positive threads on steam in a long while (I'm not talking about daily updates). That's the thing...22cans has some of the most DULL and DISCONNECTED community management I've seen. Even Molly of Chucklefish can manage to show more signs of life and grasp of the community in her charge. They are reactionary when they need to be proactively reaching out and working with the community and self-destructive when they need to mend their fences and bridges. That it feels like the community again has to pull teeth to get any answers, especially straight answers, is most telling of this all. 22cans does whatever the hell they want and then only care about their own customers as an afterthought - getting an explanation about the Daily Dev Updates about a week later showed this well.

It really is like they're trying to completely destroy any possible goodwill they may have.

It really is like they're trying to completely destroy any possible goodwill they may have. That appraisal seems to be common enough that...if 22cans cared, they would have already had a re-think of what they have been doing every day since they started Godus. If they're trying to just appear like crap then they can go Full Fish for a much quicker effect, but that might be too honest to expect of them.

Well i've just discovered that every post that I have ever made over on the steam forums has just been deleted, every single one, I feel violated. Aynen and muir, I know there have been longstanding disagreements between yourselves and the community as to what is appropriate for managing the forums, but this really does seem extreme and unjustified. Is there some as-yet undisclosed reason for all of this?

Is there some as-yet undisclosed reason for all of this? As of yesterday, Mandrake, Mindless and Hardly took to the steam forums and practically bullied one of our newer members for liking the game. Just because someone likes the game doesn’t make them a troll, just because some disagrees with your opinion doesn’t mean you can hurl abuse at them. Bullying is completely unacceptable and downright shameful in any culture. This is something that we will not stand for.

Just because someone likes the game doesn’t make them a troll, just because some disagrees with your opinion doesn’t mean you can hurl abuse at them. Bullying is completely unacceptable and downright shameful in any culture. This is something that we will not stand for. Except that you'll not blink when it comes to someone doing the same if they pretend to like the game, including your "victim" that gloated their belief that they were making people upset - along with your pet troll - so you might not want to stand too tall on the Social Justice Soapbox with that one when your moderation is far more bullying of your own customers over fake rules (remember those?) Especially when you'll use it as an excuse to purge someone's posts. While quoting irrelevant posts when banning folks because the 'reason' would look completely off in the screenshot (just like last time, remember?) So by your own logic, Steam should purge this piece of Godus because of your moderation. Sound fair? Edit: And now you've copy+pasted the libel onto the Steam forums (a place you couldn't even be arsed to regularly copy+paste the Daily Dev Updates). Might I take a moment to point out that this is probably not the brightest thing you've done for your career? steamcommunity.com/app/232810/discussions/6/618458030686194549/#c620713633845534326I have 31 archival copies of that thread. I also have 38 archival copies of the one in question, so that "bullying" can be better examined. Do we wish to go there?
