Ba'al/Qetesh can I please ask that you split this thread from page six where Mandrake announces he had been banned into a new thread called "mass banning the community" or something similar you think is appropriate. I think we should split the recent events from the ongoing discussion about 22cans appalling PR management. As per your request.

Regardless of who banned us, it was Dave that posted the defamatory material, So I am holding him to account. I am as well, which is why I am giving mrdrpink ample opportunity to address the defamatory remarks he made on behalf of his company before I report to Steam what would normally be a career-ending move. I will also make it clear who the rest of 22cans can thank. Speaking of which... Shall we tag others still at 22cans to see their input about this so that the company may fairly address the matter before the company is being held publicly responsible for it? How about being held responsible by - coincidentally - the ONLY distribution method for the game outside of mobile? When should VALVe step in and say enough is enough?

Right now the question for me is 'why are you guys waiting so long?' Get in there, share the details, contact whoever you need to and put this to bed once and for all. If you do not then the whole God awful Godus thing will just peter out and vanish.....thats what it looks like doing anyway.

eskaton23, unlike the Godus forum moderators who have treated us with contempt, we are not malevolent or capricious people, we actually believe in in concepts such as fairness and the right to respond to accusations, so we (Mandrake, Hardly and Myself) have all requested MrDrPink (Dave) to come on over here and have a chance to set the record straight. Before escalating the situation (by raising my report with steam support). I gave MrDrPink (Dave) adequate time to respond (over one day) which should be plenty of time to make a simple statement. However he chose to ignore us, treating us as if we don't exist, hoping that maybe we will just go away. If they continue to ignore our requests for comment, then I shall escalate this further by passing my information onto any and all gaming magazines that I believe will be interested in this story, so it is in their best interests to respond promptly. It may still be in their power to prevent shit storm part deux ( assuming we are not already experiencing it), but their time is rapidly running out. So once again, I invite mrdrpink to come here and explain himself, and let us know who ordered the code red.

I also out of fairness gave Dave a couple of days to back up his defamatory statements with any quotes or other evidence. He declined to and given the pictures of posts that mandrake helped us recover we see there was no bullying. We have now taken our concerns to steam support if that avenue proves unsatisfactory I will explore higher levels of steam management and I'm not above emailing Gabe.

How craven is it to publicly accuse somebody of an offense and then when challenge about the facts that support the allegation immediately withdraw and refuse to engage? Dave has no courage of his convictions because he misportrayed events and he knows it.
If Dave comes on here and posts evidence that I bullied this individual I will, as an honourable person, apologise to Dave and Defectedzombie. Dave should extend me the same respect, if there is no evidence he must publicly appologise and withdraw my ban.

I do understand your actions and am in awe of your patience guys. I don't hold up much hope for any resolution even if you do escalate things to the Valve bosses or press. This debacle has gone on for far too long and my honest opinion is that it will just fizzle out.

That's exactly what they want to happen here. 22craps wants hardly, mindless, and the others to give up and move on so that they can continue fleecing customers with their horrible product. Hardly and mindless, please know that I'm in your corner 100%. I know I don't post much here or steam, but I do keep watching the development cycle and events, and I am really hoping to see 22craps held accountable for all they've done. Hopefully recent events will lead to serious action being taken to right some wrongs.

I too think they want to wear us down but we will be resolute, we will not go quietly into the night!

The mods wonder why people get belligerant on the forums? Here's a classic example of the sort of trolling we put up with from the people they're white knighting. I've reported this. Let's see if the moderators react:

Let's see if the moderators react: Did you see the absolutely ineffective "warning" Aynen gave? Absolutely brilliant. "You've been warned about this before, so...I'm going to warn you again!" steamcommunity.com/app/232810/discussions/6/618458030686194549/#c620713633855360972This person intentionally antagonises the community, admits it in an obvious manner while basically waving their backside in the community's face, and Aynen goes for a completely ineffective slap on the wrist like he's being charitable. Aynen, remember when you said something about folks "not having the same motivation of wanting to improve the community"? That was your sign. The complete contrast of your moderation 'standards' is amazing. The only way this would have been more rich is if it were in the thread where a representative of 22cans libeled members of the community. Do that same community you gave insulting lip-service to some of your own motivation for improvement by quitting as a moderator/PR liability.

It's like there is a standard escalation Aynen is going to apply for this guy whereas we got the go directly to jail, do not pass Go, do not collect $200 process. Where is the consistency?

Do that same community you gave insulting lip-service to some of your own motivation for improvement by quitting as a moderator/PR liability. The thing about it is that the 1 day ban is for admitting that he's being offensive, not that he's being offensive. It's so frustrating that I have to tap dance around blatant trolling to point out just how bad the situation is. When I posted that I was offended by his post, I was doing more than just responding to him/her. The only way to point out these breaches of the rules is to do it through tangents like I did. It's nice that FRA finally went far enough overboard that the mods couldn't ignore it any more, but I shouldn't have to do everything short of tricking a troll into confessing in order for them to act. We all know that if I'd have just called him/her a dick for insulting the community, I'd be the one with the ban and FRA would never have gotten that ban. Everything posted by FRA has skirted the rules in the short time he/she's been on the forums. Heck, the thread that caused all the people to be banned was nothing more than flame bait. At this point, DefectedZombie has all but admitted that he/she didn't actually want people's honest opinions about Godus (which is the subject of the thread in question). I'm still waiting to hear a response to my confusion as to what the purpose of that thread is since it's clear it wasn't to hear people's opinion of the game. Rather than banning long-time members, they should have been warned about feeding trolls and that thread should have been locked with a warning to the OP about flame-baiting the forums. At this point, the only difference between FRA and DZ is that FRA admitted to his/her trolling.

And I didn't say anything about trolling at all, so I get dragged out into a field, tied to a stake, watch as they build up a pyre around me, then get burned to death. While the flames consume me, I can just hear above the sound of my own screams, the moderators chanting at me from the crowd, "Burn the Blasphemer!", "Death to the Heathen!", "Kill the Heretic!" It's almost as if they are applying an inverse rule when doling out their peculiar brand of justice, where the more offensive you can be, the lower will be your eventual punishment, if your behaviour is sufficiently bad then you don't even get any attention whatsoever. Yet we all know this is selectively applied to only certain individuals, so they cant even maintain one fair set of moderations standards that apply to everyone. This reeks of favouritism, and is yet more evidence (not that any more was needed by this point) of the unjust/unequal treatment that goes on over on their forums.

No one should need to side step around the issue to draw out a confession from an obvious troll, while remaining in fear for themselves. This is the enviornment that their overzealous moderation has created, one of perpetual paranoia, that everyone now has to pause to consider, can what I say in anyway be twisted to be used against me? because we know that's exactly what they are doing.

I think Aynen felt he had to since I got Fraggle to all but scream he/she was trolling. (See the posts from a few hours back) What's sad is just how far it had to go in order to have it happen. There's no way they could have maintained even a sliver of credibility if they hadn't done something since I reported it.

Lol so first he warned him and then he gave into peer pressure and actually banned him?
