I'm waiting to preorder until closer to release date. I held off on Arkham Knight and snagged a copy for $35 on GMG last week. Plus, as much as I'm slavering to play, I won't get my hopes up without knowing a date I'll finally get my hands on it.
Yeah, I'm a bit cheap.
Don't judge.

I am a cheap gamer too. I often don't get to play games until well after release, when everyone else has already blown through it, because I hold out for really low prices. Like, dirt cheap.

Yeah I used to do that too. Now I really don't buy any games anymore. Perhaps when the future is financially bright and people start releasing games I would like to play.

I think I'll be starting a new game on Fallout 3 tonight and get used to the life in the Wastelands once more. I can't wait for Fallout 4, but I'm unsure it will be a day 1 purchase or not.

I got my key @ 23% off. Now, if it goes on discount before release, I'll request a refund or a match-of-sale rebate, and then pick it up at the new price.
I haven't done a Day 1 purchase in a very long time, so it better be worth it. It's in their best interest to not let people down, tho.

That's pretty good! Better than the console prices. (£46 -£50) I don't really want to pay that price, but I do have strong love for the series. I believe that Bethesda, will do their best and deliver a great game

Aside from game-breaking bugs (e.g. lost saves-progression, inability to progress) I don't really mind day one bugs that much. It's almost a given considered the scope of these types of games. oh dear.. is my Bethesda fangirl showing ?!

Hopefully they addressed the Windows 7 crashes that Fallout 3 was plagued with - that basically required 3rd party mods made by the community to stabilize and offset (and even still it's not close to 100%).

I'm hoping it's a new engine. (Marmalade?! ) As such, who knows what kind of glorious bugs we'll find.

Yeah, the speculation over engine is a huge topic, nobody is quite sure if it's the Gamebryo engine or something new. Until we get an official announcement - at E3 probably/possibly - all we can do is guess. I'm sure the community will spend a lot of time finding the bugs, and hoping that Bethesda patches them faster than they did on Fallout 3.

Also, did anyone else catch in the trailer, near the end, how the woman holding the infant on top of the vertical vault door when the nuke goes off appeared to be the one in the earlier flashback in the baby's room? Sad!

No, I didn't catch that. Aww, man. That bums me out. So, that makes me wonder - was the man in the trailer the father from the nursery? Shoot, I gotta go watch it again... Oh.. nope. They're both there and die. Tho the character model is certainly the same - the hair and build is strikingly similar. Of course, that just might be due to ease of making the video. So... maybe he survived? Somehow? But it's highly unlikely anyone would survive so close to ground zero.

Considering the shape of the house after the blast, makes me wonder if they would've survived having taken shelter elsewhere... maybe not, I guess that's why they call it "fallout".

Some people have come up with what they think will likely be the Fallout 4 Map, based on landmark locations in the trailer.

Maybe he's an android?! The Institute! I wondered that, too. Maybe the player's consciousness is put into an android body?
