Well well... maybe I'll give it a shot. The writing in this article makes it seem much more plausible that, with a little bit of historical evidence, we might just make some headway on Godus refunds.
Edit: To be clear.. I'm not sure it will work for people like me who backed the Kickstarter, but my husband bought a copy on SEA after the fact... So if we try for a refund, I doubt it will apply to my Kickstarter purchase.

Well when you contact them ask them anyway, tell them to refund my 100 GBP kickstarter pledge. @22cans Don't worry, after I get my money back I'll spend some of it on Godus when it is on sale on Steam again.

The page there states I've played for 144 hours which is complete bullshit. Now any idea how we get some attention to this and get our bloody refunds?

Here's hoping. I plan to share any results on the open forum so non-board users have a chance to chime in if they wish. Good Luck!

Yeah, whilst the new refund policy is a step in the right direction unfortunately it doesn't cover cases of Early Access and 'Double Canning'.
Double Canning - Combination of Double Fine and 22Cans, where a developer presents an in-development game advertised as one thing to generate revenue, whilst internally working on something completely different to what was stated.
What it really needs is exception rules to Early Access titles that do something like:
* Extends the period of refunding up until the release of the game.
* Treats the refund starting point after a certain number of months after purchase if the game is still not released.
* Restarts the refund request period at the time of a early access title going into release.

There is a pleasant surprise - Muir is actually being helpful in regards to the policy change, and in turn people thank him for his helpfulness.
This is part of why the same policy change was suggested to 22cans previously and numerous times over.

I thanked him but sadly his instructions fell at the last hurdle. At least he tried....I think Steam and 22C should have had a request even if out of the 14 day period button on the site when you think of the number of dissatisfied folks.

It appears that he's actually trying to be helpful. Maybe the new PR team gave him a "how not to be a gloom-sodden troll" pep talk? Whether or not he knows full well they wont be getting a refund and is being completely disingenuous is another matter, but at the very least he seems to have good intentions. Thank goodness for little miracles.

Within 14 days + < 2 hours played + purchased within 6 months of request.

I noticed Green Man Gaming has a similar policy, and it was equally confusing with seeming contradictions like that. I asked for a clarification through email, but they simply sent a copypaste verbatim of the policy.

They probably can't afford so many refunds for all the SEA games people got bored of.

It sounds like the 6 month rule would apply in case you want to appeal the 14 day rule.

I read it as < 2 hours played, and purchased within 14 days = automatic refund. Purchased over 6 months ago = no refund at all, ever. Which screws most Godus owners I'd reckon.
