22cans had better get their shitstorm dodging gear ready...or get PM to do a very quick video explaining this WONDERFUL feature of the mobile game: So you know the buried treasure temples that you use a ton of belief digging up? Well in the iOS version they give you something like 10 stickers and a load of gems. Seeing as the PC map and iOS map are the same, I've been able to dig these up relatively quickly as I knew where they were. Just dug the second one up and it claims to have given me 30 gems. Except I already had 50 gems and my gem count has remained at 50. Seeing as 22 cans have made gems something you can buy for real money, i.e. they are worth something, this is a bug that will let the mobile players taste what the PC players know and the kickstarted backers have known for even longer: This game is a rushed car crash that doesn't work properly and was pushed out to grab money. I have left a review on the app store and I can't wait to see what happens as more people come across it. Have I reported it to 22cans? Well why shouldI? I've already paid once to be a beta tester and it's not like they can reset my iOS game and give me the lost gems. If they read it here and find out, all well and good but I really don't feel inclined or have the reserves of goodwill to make a bug report. Schadenfreude is almost as good as karma. edit: BAHAHAHAHAHA it gets even better. Decided to quit and restart the game to see if it just needed to refresh itself from the servers, and not only has it not given me the gems I dug up, it has taken one off so I now have 49. Delicious!! Actually I think this is worth a tweet and a review. anddddd there's more:

sad. so many warnings. so much denial. but fear not, they already blame our "lack of faith" for the bad PR and see none in the reality of what was their own choosing.

I still think my bug where I lost all my buildings was a bigger clusterfuck but yeah mobile is bugged to hell. I had regular disconnection and reconnection issues as well as the big wipe. I can only assume they don't give a fuck about people living in little old NZ and that it's safe to test this buggy game on us. You'd think if 22Cans actually played their game they'd find these issues.

That's a 3 star review from iTunes page. Some people are patient as shit. If I bought a gem pack and didn't get anything in return I sure as hell wouldn't leave a 3 star review.

So, Robbery gives you 3 Stars nowadays? I'm surprised! On the other hand, it's the Apple Store, they might be comfortable with that robbery thing already

It's almost like they haven't actually released the mobile version fully, and are just doing a trial run on a single, small app store in New Zealand.
I can understand people not liking the game, but the amount of "ONE THING WENT WRONG 22CANS ARE EVIL" getting thrown around is just a bit silly. Theres been literally nothing except that for a long period of time on this forum and it's getting boring.

?? So it's ok to release a shoddy, untested version of the game that takes your money and doesn't give you the stuff you paid for (not the PC beta, talking about the person who BOUGHT gems and didn't get them) because it's a single, small app store in New Zealand? What would the brits be saying if this had happened there? Or in the US app store? You would be hearing the words Class Action Suit a lot.
in my book, 22cans aren't evil, they appear more to be incompetent. If you create a game that relies on in-app purchases, that is your company's income stream - that's how you pay the salaries of the coders, how you pay your rent. If you can't be bothered to test that mechanism properly, that's shoddy. "Evil" assumes a deliberate wickedness, I just see fumbling.
And I don't see anywhere that it says because you live in New Zealand, it's ok to have this foisted on you.

I agree. It's not that 22Cans are evil, they just chose to make a game like zygna/king would make. That makes them scum. The fact that the cash shop doesn't work that makes them incompetent.

Also I would say 80 to 90% of the people on here have given them credit where and when credit was do and have offered a second, third and even a fourth chance and 22cans has screwed each of them up.

I don't like: Ignoring a unpleasant question or answering with something that is only loosely related or way to vague to actually answer something. Mods that Cherry-pick in discussions. Banning people for minor offenses.

Theres been literally nothing except that for a long period of time on this forum and it's getting boring. Do you think its evil for a company to withhold critical information when asking for money that would detain people from buying/funding your product? Go to the steam page or kickstarter page and press CONTROl + F to open the text search function of your browser and type the words "F2P", "free to play" and "microtransaction". 0 Results.Do you think its evil for a company to promote features and make it sound like they are already part of the your product shortly before selling it that were apparently never intended to implement and are impossible to implement with the used engine on targeted devices? Changing the water level with sculpting, erosion, affecting the tides, realistic weather and wind simulation. Peter said "and when I say Simulation, I MEAN simulation!"Do you think its evil to publicly criticize other companies for unmoral things you do as well? Do you think its evil to sell something and not giving it to you (the recent example, buying gems that won't be added to your account). Come on dude, I could make this list 10 word pages long. but the amount of "ONE THING WENT WRONG 22CANS ARE EVIL" getting thrown around is just a bit silly. Theres been literally nothing except that for a long period of time on this forum and it's getting boring. I don't think that criticizing a greedy company for its action and incompetence is silly. Also my questions where only partly rhetoric. I would really like to read your justification how that actions of 22cans can be considered as ideal and fair behavior of a company.

Stroke the cheese. Touch it. The pink, wobbly, slightly smoked cheese.
Feels good man.
