For the record, I did read it as a joke. Kudos for me! I recognized that it was 'intended' as a joke - however, I'm not laughing... (Perhaps I don't have a very flexible sense of humor?) So my response was equal parts joke equal parts fact, which is to say that I'm not just going to let 22cans off that easy. Even when they've having a bit of a good day in their release of the iOS version. However that is just my perspective on things, I guess I'm just not that forgiving when it comes to not following through on agreements? That said, I often come over a lot harsher than I intend to sound... Especially in text, so that does complicate matters. FWIW, I think you're cool and I like you.

I get where you're coming from but I honestly don't think feanix has any voice at all in however things are run at 22Cans. Now if it were Peter coming in here saying something like that I fully expect the whole forum to bite his head off.

Hehe, I think a lot of us here would *love* to get the chance to sit down with Peter and thoroughly tell him what we believe of the experience so far. Speaking for myself, I'd also like to hear his side of things. The unaltered "Peter Molyneux-view" on Godus and 22cans. Without the marketing speech, without the need to hide things that might or might not happen, just a plain and straightforward chat from one human to another.
While it is ofcourse not exactly something that is probable to achieve (lets be honest, even if you COULD get an afternoon with the guy one-on-one there just are too many limitations to make such a candid conversation functional and there wouldn't be enough time to go through ALL of it) The idea of being able to just lay out the facts and views from both sides and understand what it is that motivates the other and drove them to make certain decisions is something that does somewhat appeal to me.

If you ever do get that chance, be sure to feed him lots of booze so he'll talk more freely.

Nah, I'll just use one of those truthserums instead - far more effective! Besides, isn't that what you used on Jack and George?

Is the NDA over? Can you now talk about things you couldn't talk about before.
Re random other 22cans guy. You have to forgive some of us. We've been through an ordeal and like John Rambo after Vietnam we can be a bit antisocial sometimes. We are trying to be better.
Regarding open worlds I agree with the comment that open felt a lot better. Regarding procedural and what not the goal should be creativity. The problem with previous versions was sculpting was so limited you couldn't be creative.

I still think my bug where I lost all my buildings was a bigger clusterfuck but yeah mobile is bugged to hell. I had regular disconnection and reconnection issues as well as the big wipe. I can only assume they don't give a fuck about people living in little old NZ and that it's safe to test this buggy game on us. You'd think if 22Cans actually played their game they'd find these issues. We only encountered that bug twice in the whole time developing. It's totally unreproducible in development. So, I spent a week building a system that will flag this kind of thing happening. It's going to send a screenshot and your save data to our servers, and from that we should be in a much better position to fix it. I'm hoping that if it ever happens again, we won't just be able to fix it, but also be able to adjust your save in the server so your houses come back too. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that all the other bug fixes we've made recently will have fixed it in passing. That's the thing about software: c2.com/cgi/wiki?ProofsCantProveTheAbsenceOfBugs

If only you'd given me a badge for it.

On behalf of all the fans, customers, backers and supporters - if you're a 22cans employee and you haven't had dinner yet recently. Go eat now... You need sustenance to be able to handle all that work heading your way!

Why wasn't that mentioned in his introductory video - "What I do at 22cans, I buy people food when they have to work late."

Why wasn't that mentioned in his introductory video - "What I do at 22cans, I buy people food when they have to work late." because it is redeeming.
