Congrats on the move and I hope everything works out well for you, although it would totally work out better if you moved to Cardiff. We have castles. Lots and lots of castles.

We don't have a job offer there, but we will keep looking in a year or so, and see where life takes us. We spent the last 2.5 years apart for half the time, so really it's all good to me and anywhere in the UK sounds awesome to me.

I have decided to concentrate my search on the Holywood area a few blocks of the main street. I swear these places have yards and bigger rooms, so I am almost ready to sell a kidney to move there.

I'm sure their are people with better and fresher knowledge than me on Belfast but What do you want? Do you want a city pad where you can go out drinking till the early hours or a more "mature" life of Dog's cat's and long walks in the countryside?

Do you want a city pad where you can go out drinking till the early hours or a more "mature" life of Dog's cat's and long walks in the countryside? I would prefer either, but Ba'al would like it to be a bit more green than Urban. I am loving Holywood because it has that great main street of cafes and stores that could be gotten to by bike or even walking if we find the right location. I also do like the idea of not feeling cramped and one of our musts is some type of outdoor space. We have a balcony where we are at now, so that would be good enough for me, or a yard might be even nice. I just need a way to be outside without having to leave home. This is crucial when your budget is tight and you spend a lot of time at home. Without it, I would feel very caged and get cabin fever more quickly. We have our two kitties so that has caused us to lose a few places already but they are a deal breaker since they are a part of our family. i want to feel safe too, I have been warned by some realtors about certain areas and so I trying to make sure we are nowhere near those places. Ba'al does not wish to live near a wall and I would hate living surrounded by students. I'm not a big beach person, but the idea of being so close to it in Holywood is also sounding very tempting. I did look further down south and north of Belfast but I have been unable to locate any houses that are close enough to local amenities to move there when we won't have a car for long. I guess I have been mainly looking into BT18, BT1 and BT2 but taking some peeks at BT7 and BT9 in their non student horde areas. I had found a perfect dream house we both loved in Holywood for just hair over budget but they won't take pets so frak em. LOL.

I prefer to do my drinking at home mostly anyway.

He does indeed, he is the founder and I am second in charge....in this place. He made me a mod because I have experience in it. I was a Mod/Admin at a much more controversial style of moderating board. I am more than "just a pretty face" :Pand I have applied for a few paying mod jobs so you are all in good hands.
