Not saying Angry was in the right... but is this the part where Muir warns/bans G.K. for insulting forum members and clearly breaching forum rules he has cited himself, multiple times? Or is this kind of retributional verbal abuse justified within the modding elite? I realize he is angry, and I realize it made G.K. angry, but as a mod he should be above those kind of responses imo.

I wouldn't disagree with Angry being given a temp-ban for that, particularly given that I think he's already had a warning in the past.
Calling Angry a "prat" and an "asshat" is in contravention of the Steam rules which state you shouldn't personally attack other forum users. It is not justified to say that this was due to an emotional response triggered by frustration at this individual's conduct. Angry's post was probably also out of line due to an emotional response. In fact, that is the reason loads of users post rule-breaking stuff on forums. The mods are the ones who are supposed to be able to rise above that kind of thing.

Ultimately, if the game were more to Tigris' tastes then there wouldn't be an issue in the first place, so it brings it all back to what I think my original comment on Steam was - that the best and only way we can prove our worth and demonstrate our intentions is with software deliverables. However, creating content takes time and as we all know, we won't be shifting our focus back to making the PC version a priority until later this year. As such, I fully expect further exchanges like this with various, non-specific community members to fill the time gap. Not a great situation, but that's my problem to deal with, not yours. Regardless of people liking the game or not, it should be possible for two adults to accept their differences. This doesn't mean that you can't get into heated situations with each other but I'd prefer not to see each of your grand kids killing each other for reasons they aren't even aware of. In other words, no ongoing feuds please. It is not taste it is "bait and switch". Sad abuse of kickstarter, lies, and the assumption that somehow it'll all get forgotten. Sorry, not how it works. Not some VC that gets lied to and used and then accepts the loss gracefully. I was not in this for whore's profit. |
