I originally posted in this thread with the specific intent to allow those that may have received a refund, but want to remain anonymous, an opportunity to help others do the same. Therefore I think the purpose of the thread, even if slightly derailed by the Borg, is best suited in this section.
TBH I'm quite surprised 22cans hasn't "iterated" their company policy to include refunds already... unless of course they are fully aware that it's their terribly boring "game" with it's farmville-esque mechanics and not their vocal critics that are hurting Godus' reputation/sales. Just offering a guess, but I'd wager they may have realised that even if they do pay their critics to go away (e.g offer refunds) more unsatisfied clients would simply take their place.
Cheers

No refund here. Can we talk class-action lawsuit?

22cans amde the same istake many dev's make, and it was the same huge mistake microsoft made with windows8.
The mistake was in thinking software can be made to work great on 2 different platforms so was no need to make 2 different games, wrong!!!!
As proven time and time again, when software is developed for mobile platofrms it doesnt work well on the desktop, but developers repeatedly keep trying to do this failed strategy, and the reason is clear, its cheaper to port software from mobile to pc than it is to make dedicated software for each platform.
Compare the web in 2015 to 2010, in 2010 most sites were designed for desktop and looked much more presentable on a pc, in 2015 most sites are designed for mobile and look basic on a pc. But the web developers continue to claim pc experience is as good as it was in 2010.

But the web developers continue to claim pc experience is as good as it was in 2010. Several news and commentary sites that I read have a version for mobile devices. The DrudgeReport.com works adequately on pc and mobile. That was one web site not designed to look good. Given that many software companies are searching overseas for cheap development labor, I find it odd that those same companies think that it is too expensive to make separate desktop and mobile versions of web sites and software. I suspect that overseas (third world) labor may not be so cheap in the long term.

That's very interesting indeed. One could easily draw a parallel to godus.
