Come on guys, there's like one rule here and it's "don't be a dick". It's funny George used to say that. But seriously I agree Crumpy. I don't wish anyone any ill will. I don't even want Peter M to go bankrupt. I do want to 22cans to be honest about what is going on and to make an honest attempt at developing the game they promised. The later is probably a lost cause now. When talking with Aynen, keep in mind he is now the only person who bothers to say anything. He might not be able to share but neither is he hiding in a foxhole. I give him credit for that. By the way it is 28 hours until I see Star Wars. Just saying. What? For what exactly are you praising and giving credit to Aynen? He comes here every so often, as he had done in the past year. He pipes in and leaves some completely uninformative and unproductive post of "soonus", "can't talk about it", "22 cons have been busy working", "you will see". The same thing he had done for years. He has lied, again, and again, and again. And you praise that behavior? You give credit for what exactly? For him coming here, lying to us, and trying to put a positive spin on 22 cons actions? I don't see any positive developments from Aynen coming here, lying to us, and feeding us the same "soonus", "can't talk about it" crap for the last 2 years. Don't forget, he is the one who banned a lot of people from Steam forums when they politely, without using any profanity, disagreed with him or a 22 cans rep, and pointed out FACTS that showed 22 cans was lying to present and future customers. So, why is Aynen coming here, continuing to lie, and feed you the same "soonus", "can't talk bout it" tolerated and a good thing? Answer me that. Is it because you would rather be lied to and cheer at that, then 22 cons being completely silent? You would rather have a lie than silence? |

I'd hazard a guess we are the first country in the world to get Star Wars (now less than 12 hours from opening). But I'm not going to the midnight session so I won't see it for another 15 hours after that. |

Aynen has been guilty of giving false hope and his statements are frustratingly ambiguous and vague. However, he doesn't decide what gets shared and what doesn't so I assume he is sharing info the best he can. He is the last person connected to 22cans who regularly shows his face and because he does so he takes a bit of abuse. I give him credit for that. It doesn't mean I agree with everything he's done or will do. A lot of Aynen's faults come from him being a Pollyanna. I can easily forgive him for that even if it is at times annoying when I'm of a mood to be cynical. |

Ah! I'm jealous of you early birds. We're waiting a few days to see it since the company I work for is treating us all to a private showing in one of those IMAX theaters that has dinner/spirit service. 148+ hours for me.

Now that I think of it... it's a good thing Aynen isn't a mod on these forums... otherwise we'd all be banned for repeatedly going off topic (sorry OP) by now, even Aynen... and the only thing we could do to be unbanned is apologise to Aynen... which might get akward for Aynen... unless of course he likes apologising to himself... then all would be well...

Well, despite circumstances, he has opinions and viewpoints that are still a part of the discussion and is absolutely welcome here as part of the community on a whole. To make an informed analysis, all angles must be observed. As to the why, only Aynen knows. However, the sentiment is that, despite a hostile environment, he - above anyone else - still comes and expresses his side of things now and then. There's at least a bit of respect to be given for that, even if you question his intent or disagree with his reasoning. |
