.... And that I should go and check for myself, but is Godus (standalone on a Mac rather than mobile shit)
- actually finished yet? - worthwhile looking at again? - got any game play?
it used to really bother me but decided the modest amount I paid was probably written off. I have not looked at it probably for a year.
thanks.

Nope.
No communication for at least a month. No "Combat Update" pushed out before the holiday season.
It's a dead project as far as we can tell.

Gone are the days whence Simon the Twitter Trollied, Muir the Megalomaniac, Colin the Constant, and Aynen the Intermediate could be arsed to don their fanboy regalia and prance their digits about the internet, reassuring the huddled masses that Godus, is indeed, being worked on and will be updated at the speed of bucket-stankus-soonus.
Now, between the pitiful, unheeded cries of "helpum" wafting into the dark abyss from the forgotten support forums, there is only the cold, zen-like silence of Be Trail.

Was there ever a Mac version? Yeah, and they even reached the Linux strech goal. Seeing the strech goals is kinda depressing at this point.

At least someone involved with the project is still active. No offense to you, Aynen, but it's a shame that the only person giving any sign of caring about Godus is a volunteer moderator.

Well, the others are as involved as me. But we're not always at liberty to discuss how. Stuff is happening, people are working on the game and on community stuff. I'm just not allowed to say what exactly.

I'm just not allowed to say what exactly. My statement still stands. You're still the only one giving any indication whatsoever that the project isn't completely dead. I'll take your word for it that there's still people working on the game, but I don't believe there's anybody @ 22cans working on "community stuff". The whole situation is stupid. What can they possibly hope to achieve by these long periods of silence? There's no good reason for it.

Well, the others are as involved as me. But we're not always at liberty to discuss how. Stuff is happening, people are working on the game and on community stuff. I'm just not allowed to say what exactly. Pure troll. *Well, the others are as involved as me. The complete lack of anything happening on any front is proof this is a lie. No website updates, no twitter, no steam, no godus.boards nothing. *But we're not always at liberty to discuss how. For the last several months the silence has been deepening but even before that we have seen that noone is ever allowed to talk without running anything up the pole, there was a 3month period in there where a few members were honest and open, and the medias peek behind your curtain showed the circus for what it was. *Stuff is happening, people are working on the game and on community stuff. Obviously there is nothing going on community side. 22cons isnt even actively shitting on the community anymore. The only community interaction is the moderator (you) trolling with patronizing posts. *I'm just not allowed to say what exactly. Your sycophantic chant of soonus believe me, was old and tired a long time ago, at this point it is just trolling. The fact you go so far as to bother typing its happening I swear, but I cant tell you neener neener... its just pathetic. It adds nothing to a non discussion. Nothing close to early access is happening, trying to defend that from any standpoint while simultaneously saying you cant talk about anything is just hypocrisy in this context. Soonus it will be epic, suck it and see.

Aynen, do you still have weekly meetings with the CM (Colin) and if so what do you actually talk about. I imagine the conversations going along the lines of "Lots of people asking what the hell is going on, should we enlighten them? Can't unfortunately, we have nothing to say until there is something to say. Christmas is coming and if we can hold out till then we wont have to communicate till February." As someone said, this situation is ridiculous.

We do things like pointing out people who need some help from QA, important topics, etc. If the community has an issue, we make sure 22Cans knows about it. What they do from there on is up to them. Sometimes we argue about how to respond to something, sometimes we just chat. (all work and no play make Jack a dull boy)

I'm just not allowed to say what exactly. Whenever I hear that whole line of "can't say now" claptrap, I'm reminded of Peter and John's coy looks back when they were still on the project and promising that amazing, game changing, incredible surprised coming in the fall. Yeah, Weyworld... and then bailing on the project in December. Pretty game changing... If it wasn't for the repeated letdowns, pointless silences, and lack of progress on ANY front, I might half believe you. There was no proof this game was going to get better a year ago. There was little proof it was going to get better 2 years ago. I wouldn't be so critical but it's been so long since anything meaningful has been done, I'm amazed there's anything left to discuss. Do you talk about the latest person who's become so fed up they have crossed the line and need to be banned? That's the only news we've had for months. What in Heaven's name is there to actually discuss at this point. There's nothing new to talk about. We aren't even getting nasty articles to link and discuss any more. It's so bad we've totallyTim making weekly updates about how there's nothing new to talk about since we're not even getting weekly updates. If you're actually getting paid for this now, I applaud you. If not, I'm beside myself wondering just what you get out of this.

I'm just not allowed to say what exactly. You seem to post this load of laughs every couple of months. Do you ever get tired of 22cans making you into a liar even before you decide to lie for them? Let us know the answer in another couple of months when you'll try to say the work you've seen at 22cans is awesome, is going to amaze everyone when we see it soon, but of course you're under NDA and can't give any details - just like this time, the last time, and every other time you've dribbled the company Kool-Aid down your bib.

If you had any integrity you'd break silence and show that you stand with the community you're supposedly representing instead of being an unpaid corporate shill

Well, the others are as involved as me. But we're not always at liberty to discuss how. Stuff is happening, people are working on the game and on community stuff. I'm just not allowed to say what exactly. "Not at liberty". "Not allowed". This is exactly what 22Cans' PR have said, many many times in the past, will no longer be the case. On account of Godus being a Kickstarter/Early Access project. Aynen, in your opinion, how does this "not at liberty/not allowed to discuss" gel with the culture of openness cooperation and honesty on the back of which 22Cans took thousands of pounds from customers? Aynen, in your opinion, how does this "not at liberty/not allowed to discuss" gel with the enablement of users to be involved at every stage as 22Cans share everything they do and learn with us? Aynen, in your opinion, how does this "not at liberty/not allowed to discuss" gel with the collaboration with customers to implement the ideas and features we love the most? Are you going to actually reply to this post in a meaningful way, Aynen? Or is this going to be another of the hundreds of incredibly pertinent posts that get completely ignored by 22Cans and everyone connected with 22Cans because it's too hard to answer.
